Painted Calipers - Cyber Orange!

Hello All,

So after finally doing the Rally Springs/Eibach sway bars install, the cherry on top was getting the calipers painted. I really wanted something that stood out, but I was over yellows and reds, so I thought, why not orange? In fact, orange is the complimentary color for blue on the color theory wheel (my Mach is Grabber Blue).

I found a really good vehicle customizing shop and called them up. As we were talking, I mentioned orange and of course that wasn't a problem, but then I thought, can they get custom or factory colors? The guy said yes so I asked him if he could get the Ford Cyber Orange. He did a quick check and said, yes, he could. He even quoted me the color code to make sure (M7450). Custom colors cost more so he gave me the premium quote, but when I called him back to confirm the appointment, he told me he actually undercharged me because he didn't realize the Cyber Orange is a tri-coat. He still honored the original quote, so that was cool. Anyway, I think it looks great and glad I went with this color:

Calipers look really good Orr, and not too bright. Car looks good too. Using Chrome to upload on some Android's will give you that choppy photo. Using a different browser on your phone when uploading photos will fix that.

Thanks Mark, yeah, it looks really, really sharp.

I've tried loading from both MS Edge and Chrome. Same results. I'll give it a go later tonight maybe.

And thanks for all you advice on the Rally springs and Eibach sway bars. Rides really good now!

Funny story, in January 2022, I went to my local Ford dealer to place my Mach order. From looking through the website, Cyber Orange was going to be my color choice. I got there and placed the order. About a week later, I realized I ordered the wrong trim. Went back to adjust or restart the order. As we were going through the process, the sales lady said, hey, I know you're set on Cyber Orange, but have you seen a Grabber Blue model yet? We have one out on the lot if you want to take a look. I said, yeah sure, why not. Well, the rest is history. Fell in love with the blue. However, I would just have been as equally happy with Cyber Orange and I occasionally catch myself thinking, man I should've stuck with that orange haha

But, at least I was able to honor my almost Cyber Orange Mach with a little callback down there on the calipers

May I ask what it cost to get an idea? My prices and yours SHOULD be similarly elevated.

Ok folks, I ended up opening the five missing pics one-by-one and then doing a screengrab and saving them as .jpg. Looks like that did the trick. Unbelievably ridiculous to have to go through all that. But they're all there now.

Ha, I see what you did there

Thank you, yeah, I think they came out really nice. As for pricing, well, yeah, "elevated" would be a good word to use. Last year, when I called them, it was $100 per caliper. This time around, it was $125 per. Add to that any custom paint they have to order is another $100. So, the whole thing came out to a cool $600 . However, the work is top notch, never worried about my car getting worked on there as he works on electric vehicles all the time so knows the do's and don'ts about lifting them and finally the work is warranted for five years which is way above the industry standard from what I got anecdotally when I was initially calling around. The shop is called Alpha Autosports in Glendale, CA.

I painted mine Chevy Engine Orange in 2021. This is a pic from 2025 they still look good no peeling or fading. Didn't cost a thing I had the paint laying around. Also I taped off the pucks for a little contrast. I like it but then I'm very biased.
