Thanks to @markboris for his valuable assistance with choosing the correct tire size for the Rally wheels!

My OEM tires at 33K miles were down to 3/32" and since I really wanted a Rally but can't do it now, so I got a set of Ford Rally wheels (19x8") and put on Bridgestone Alenza RFT that have an EV car symbol on them.

255-55x19 tires look way better than the original factory 19 setup!

And no more worry about flat tires without a spare!

50 miles at up to 50MPH with zero air pressure - gotta love technology.

The ride is amazingly softer, quieter, more responsive and has a definite sports car feel when accelerating into a turn without any squealing / chirping.

Feels more like my rocketship 2004 BMW 328d.

Hey Pat, that setup turned out really well!!

Those 30" tires are almost an 1" taller than the OEM Rally tires and fill up the wheel well better. The reason they ride a little smoother is because the sidewall is 1/2" taller than your previous tires. Plus because the new tires have a load rating of 111, you can run them at 30psi (not sure if you are doing this now) and they will still be the proper load rating for the Mach-E. However at that pressure you will loose some range but I tell everyone to keep them at the lower pressure for a better ride and when you need the range like on a long trip, then pump them up. 😊

Thanks Mark - appreciated all the tips and knowledge.

I did not know that I should run the pressures lower because I heard that from another person who said the tires will wear differently than stock sizes and to reduce pressures.

Is there a way to "tell" the car that 30psi is now the new norm ???

Yes in FORScan. You can easily change that "NORM" tire pressure so you won't get a warning until the pressure drops 20% below that. Let me know if you have access to FORScan and I will tell you know how to do it. I have to change mine all the time because I am always changing tires and sizes.

Thanks - I love the Rally wheels - really matches the body color.

Do you know why these factory Ford wheels are not covered by any warranty ?
Is it all Ford Performance products ?

It's warranted to be what they represent it to be when delivered. As to why no further warranty, that's clearly because people who use performance parts tend to not follow guidelines / restrictions / normal use I would suppose. So when a part fails in a use that is way beyond what it was designed to be used for, they don't want the headache.

And, because they sell not an iota less by doing this.

Those statements look pretty boilerplate for wheels in the first case, and performance parts in the second case. Since performance parts are known to be abused and/or modified pretty frequently, there are very few that are covered by any sort of warranty other than out of the box function, fit, and finish. 🤔🐩
