You know what they say, ABC (always be charging). And now you have more options with the latest provider added to the BlueOval Charge Network:  BC Hydro!

Ford Mustang Mach-E BlueOval Charge Network adds BC Hydro EV and Enhances Network Access BC HYDRO

With the addition of BC Hydro to the BlueOval Charge Network, you now have access to more than 629 charging ports at 146 sites across British Columbia with easy payment inside the FordPass app.

In addition, we’ve enhanced the way BlueOval Charge Network partner names are displayed within FordPass, so you’ll see even more new names, including: bp pulse, ChargeSmart EV, EVolve NY, InCharge, Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging, and Pilot Flying J!

*drumroll please* Ford Charge – a network backed by Ford and located at Ford dealerships across the US and Canada has expanded to 320 dealerships with nearly 1,200 available charging ports. Read more about how one of our Ford dealers in Bow, NH is embracing public charging with Ford Charge.

With these changes, the BlueOval Charge Network expands to 21 partner networks across the US and Canada – all accessible with one app and one no-fee account:
  • BC Hydro
  • Blink
  • bp pulse
  • ChargePoint
  • ChargeSmart EV
  • Circuit Électrique
  • Electrify America (supports Plug & Charge)
  • EV Connect
  • EVgo
  • EVolve NY (supports Plug & Charge)
  • FLO
  • Ford Charge
  • FPL EVolution
  • Francis Energy
  • InCharge
  • IONNA
  • Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging
  • Pilot Flying J
  • Red E
  • Shell Recharge
  • Tesla Superchargers (supports Plug & Charge)

As a reminder, when you’re at a charger, you can use your BlueOval Charge Network account to start charging in two ways:

  1. Plug & Charge (at supported network partners)
  2. FordPass mobile app activation (at all network partners)

If you’re not enrolled in BlueOval Charge Network, you can quickly enroll from the FordPass app – just tap Connected Services.

Anyone charge at IONNA using Plug and Charge? I plan on charging at several IONNA stations in Kansas during September.

And what about us Eurotards, can we please have Tesla chargers back anytime soon? It worked until US got access, while now we can't even navigate to them in car, app or otherwise.

I’ve used Ionna with FordPass activation on my phone. Works great. Plug and charge? They don’t have that yet. Right now, the price is right too - $0.39/kw IIRC.

Charged at IONNA with BlueOval Charge Network? Absolutely.

Just tap Energy -> Public Charging in FordPass - same for all 21 network partners above, like having 21 apps in one.

IONNA is not a Plug & Charge partner, but they are a BlueOval Charge Network partner.

Great! Love BC Hyrdo. BC Hydro's older 50 kW chargers are in the best locations near great restaurants, and their newer faster chargers are also sweet if I'm in a hurry.

And I like the Ford BlueOval Charge Network even though I can't access it in the car without my phone anymore.

I'll probably keep using my FLO RFID card at BC Hyrdo. I don't really like relying on my phone to activate chargers, that's why I loved the Public Charging app in the car. Right now in my life the FLO RFID card is the best payment system, PlugNCharge is the second best, followed by the Ford App which is my favourite phone app for charging. I avoid chargers requiring other phone apps if I can (although the Tesla App is also a pretty nice app for months when I sign up for the membership.)

When you said "drumroll please" I just about wet myself because I thought you were going to announce we were getting the Tesla Superchargers in Connected Navigation. Or I had a flash thought that maybe you'd announce more Plug-N-Charge partners, or a new version of the Public Charging in-car app. For future reference, drumrolls are used to announce something surprising, not prefacing a summary of the state of the union (right? Am I right?).

Thanks! Trying to be helpful :)

Hopefully we'll have news on connected navigation soon™
