Any plans to start to recognize networks memberships? Without recognizing plug and charge useless for many drivers
Plug & Charge and BlueOval Charge Network are different, but related things. BlueOval Charge Network is useful across 13 networks now, the majority of which do not have any paid membership discounts available. You can use BlueOval Charge Network without Plug & Charge as well. But yes, understood that there is a desire among users who pay for discount subscriptions directly with Electrify America and Tesla in particular to be able to Plug & Charge and receive those discounts.

Hi owners! We’re excited to announce that the BlueOval Charge Network – the largest public charging network in North America – is now even larger with the addition of our 13th public charging network partner: FPL EVolution!

With the addition of FPL EVolution to the BlueOval Charge Network, you now have access to more than 325 public fast chargers at more than 77 locations across Florida right from the FordPass app on your phone or the Public Charging app on your vehicle’s touchscreen.

As a friendly reminder, you can use the BlueOval Charge Network to pay for public charging at over 160,000 public chargers across 13 networks around the US and Canada in three ways – all from one account and without the need to download any additional apps:

With the addition of FPL EVolution, as of February 1, 2025, you now have access to public chargers from the following networks with your BlueOval Charge Network account:
  • FPL EVolution
  • Blink
  • ChargePoint (including Mercedes-Benz Charging Network)
  • Electrify America (supports Plug & Charge)
  • Electric Circuit
  • EV Connect (including ChargeSmart EV)
  • EVgo
  • FLO
  • Ford Charge
  • Francis Energy
  • Shell Recharge
  • Red E
  • Tesla (supports Plug & Charge)

Thank you Ford, not having to deal with 20 apps on your phone to be able to use different charging companies is great value for the Mach-E. This makes the car easy to road trip.

This is great! Any chance we will get iONNA added to BlueOval Network? They are supposed to have 100 stations by end of the year.

They’ve always been there, it’s just that now, you can activate them through the Public Charging app in the car or through FordPass app on your phone. You don’t have to use the FP&L app to start the charge.

Glad to see this. Our experience with the FPL Evolution sites have been hit or miss, but it's always great to have more, non-Tesla, options.

I wonder if this will help solve the activation issues these seem to have. At least the charger in Lake City, FL.

I have got it to work with their app every time eventually. But it was always a struggle.

I've tried the FPL charger at Yulee, Fl several times and never been able to get it to work for me. Maybe this will do the trick. And I did download their app, I've used it in Lake City and on the Turnpike in So. Fl, but Yulee does not life the Colonel.

One note: Ford adds a 10% surcharge to the FPL rate. It’s $0.30/kWh in the FPL app, and $0.33/kWh via Ford.
I used the one in Naples a little over a week ago and Ford charged me $0.35/kw through the Public Charging app. Not sure what that’s all about as they don’t mark up other charging brands, at least as far as I know. Back to the FP&L app.
