Multiple quality checks are done before it is released. They may have found an issue that requires correction (for example paint damage or a misaligned body panel).
Getting enough train cars down there and back. The Cuautitlan plant is still working to clear out the backlog.
Build date 12/21. ETA has been 2/15 but still in Mexico.
Honestly it seems they’re holding Pacific NW and other region cars.
Did your status change back to “in production”? There seems to be an elite few of us who are stuck in this situation.
I don’t think that’s it. Plenty of other cars built later have shipped within a week.

Not sure over the last few weeks. I haven’t really checked myself and chat with my awesome salesperson whenever there’s a status change or every few weeks (honestly, best ever sales and dealer!).
At least it’s awaiting shipment. That’s a positive sign. Mine was awaiting shipment with an ETA of 3/23, but now it’s back to “in production” with the ETA reset back to 1/1/1990.
Really feels like they’re still doing a much broader qa check like Speedway but down in Mexico.
If you have your VIN, you can use the tracker at the top of the forum to check your status. If it’s “awaiting shipment”, it should have an ETA. If it switched back to “in production” then you‘re pretty much out of luck.
