Fast follow: I have been told that this OTA is the same update that would have been performed at a dealership, PCM and all. If customers had it done at a dealership, the vehicle will skip the OTA.

Excellent news! I may cancel my upcoming service to have this done by the dealer.

Nice to see this roll out as an OTA.

This is excellent news indeed -- I've been "lazy" about scheduling an appointment. Now to wait for the update to arrive. :)

Well this figures. I just had the recall done (mobile service at least) on Friday.
Same, except my dealer said they wouldn't do mobile service because the update would take "at least 4 hours" so I had to drop it off.

I'd like to add that I am impressed with the 25S65 recall. Before the update I would often see the 12V SoC in the 60-75% range. Even after finally replacing the OEM battery with a new Ford battery shortly before the recall the SoC would be around the same. Now it's always 75% or higher... often in the mid/high 80% range.

One question about the 12V SoC... do any of you ever see the SoC at 100%? My wife does a lot of short trips but even after a 400 mile trip last month the most I have seen the SoC was at 96%... and that was with the Mach-E being continually on for over 8 hours (driving/charging/driving).

The target state of charge is somewhere around 90-95%, so no you won’t typically ever see 100%.

Thanks! When I replaced the battery I did have it on a battery charger for a few days at it was at 100%. However after installing the battery it showed a 90% SoC as I did the BMS reset so I was thinking that may have been the cause for never hitting 100%...

Are you sure about this statement?
My car had the recall done at the dealership couple months ago, and got the notification last night on the same OTA, and today I’m the morning, it bricked my car.
Got got towed to the dealership and no ETA, but according to the person I talked to , “IVT/OTA Research Escalation Specialist”, the repair might take 1 day or 1 week.

Uh oh, call that number and they’ll get you a tow to the dealer to get that fixed tomorrow. You should get priority.

Ford called me right after the software update failure, and arranged a tow truck to take it.
The dealership received the car around noon and they said they don’t know how long it will take until they diagnose it, and there is a possibility to replace a module or more to get the car running again.

The engineering team is aware, and were notified as soon as it happened. They will work with your dealer to ensure you’re looked after.

That is true.
I really appreciated the call from the team when that happened.

here is my concern, is it going to happen again to someone else? That is the only reason I brought it up here.
The logic code should have stopped pushing the OTA if the car already had the recall done.
