When is the OTA expected?
if the manual update took about an hour, it means that it's a big one that will probably not make it OTA

The actual update process through FDRS takes about 25 minutes. It's not that big. It's just a few modules. Some IPMA updates take an hour and have been packaged as OTAs as well. 🤷‍♂️🐩

WRT when the 12V recall software makes it to OTA, that's anyone's guess. Ford hasn't said. If it is like the HVBJB software update, then it'll be a few months after FDRS release before the first car receives the package via OTA. So, maybe December. But, we still don't know since Ford said nothing about when this would go out OTA. 🤔🐩

This may be better as a poll, but I'll weigh in. I had mine done yesterday. They came to my home. Took about an hour. No problems

I have my 2024 Premium 4X-ER going in to my dealer in a couple of days to receive the 25S65 update. I am worried about unexpected ‘side-effects’ of this change. After 18 years of iPhone, iPad and Windows updates we are all acquainted with how software changes can fix a couple of things here while breaking a couple of other things over there. A software fix is not like a hardware fix and the more complex the software is, the more vulnerable it is.

Has anyone gotten this ‘fix’ and if so, has it ‘broken’ anything else. My car has been PERFECT over my first 14 months of ownership and I am worried about that impression being ruined by a hardware company trying to manage something it has already admitted to being poor at, and/or has mostly outsourced.

My dealer came to my house and installed the update in about 20 minutes. No issues after the update. The tech who installed mine at around noon said he had four more to do that day.

This is what I'm seeing.

This is a different update than the recall updates. It's older and the recall updates supersede those older images. 🤔🐩

You will hear that for 12 minutes each time you shut off the car. The fix continues to charge the 12v for 12 minutes after the car is turned off.
You are absolutely right. I timed it today and the hum/buzz noise lasted 12 minutes, shut down and the Ford Pass app lit up on my phone, I didn't tap it, at the same time the noise stopped.

Routine install, no subsequent problems. My software update screen still notes the most recent prior OTA I got for the face camera update.

Mobile van came on Friday, took about 40 minutes. Haven't had any issues post-update that I can tell, and I've done a good amount of driving since then.

My dealer sent the mobile service to do the update. It got stalled in the middle due to the fact I have comma 3x Open Pilot installed on my 21 MME as of August of this year. The tech said the software could not talk with the IPMA; even though the comma 3x was disconnected from the car. I went and disconnected the comma 3x harness from the IPMA and the software update finished with no problem. Thereafter, I reconnected the comma 3x harness and all is well. It would appear that the bypass on the comma 3x harness is not 100%.

I had mine done this morning and now the cruise control does not work. Had to return to get that fixed which they did by re-doing the same prcess.
