Last week, I had my MME updated software at dealership to address the recall issue.

Once MME came back to me, I noticed tap to lock the doors feature was none responsive after exiting MME or took 30 seconds or more to “tap to lock”.
Sometimes none of tap buttons work on which I have to do walk away to auto lock as well as use the fob to lock the doors.

When closing the hatch (car is off), it used to fold mirrors right after hatch is closed.
Now it folds mirrors 1 out of 3 times (I only tried 25 times to test it)

- Tap to lock buttons on each door either work after 30 seconds of wait or not at all

- closing the hatch door won’t fold mirrors always.

Anyone else experiencing this issue???

I had the same recall done at dealer 3 weeks ago. Have a 21 Mach e. I'm not experiencing that behavior.

I reported this issue back in September, but the fix is to just restart the car by pulling the 12v.

If you need a guide on pulling the 12v, see here:

I've only seen a handful of reported issues after having this update applied. This doesn't seem to be very common so we're the lucky ones!
My apology for lack of researching further (missing your posting). I greatly appreciate your support!! I will perform 12v battery reset show in the link. Thank you!!

Is there a fuse we could just pull instead? I realize probably not, but just don't want to pull the panels off and play "find the clip".

I'm not sure if it's worth pulling the 12V, but I'm pretty sure my lock "buttons" on the door panels have been super glitchy since the recall update. It has just been partially a hunch, but I can't think of anything else, and it was 100% working previously.

I don't think mine is necessarily "after 30 seconds" but it seems to take 2-3 touches of the button to get it work. I haven't tried to time it but way less than 30 seconds even when it does work. But it worked on the first touch every time before this started.

Not sure, but I treat the Mach-E as a computer first and car second. Any issues I've had with the car has been software related.

I’m having the same issue after the update on my 23 Premium.

I went for a drive to a store after I got the update done. When I came out of the store and started the car, my passenger side mirror didn’t fold out.

I went in and toggled the automatic folding on and off and on again. The mirrors work normally again.

My lock button seems to have stopped working on the drivers door. The back door button works perfectly.

I had my dealership do the update about a month ago. I didn't think anything about it afterwards, but started noticing the problem locking the the car using the lock buttons a few weeks ago. Now it makes sense.

I have this same issue on my 2024 Premium after getting the update done at the dealership. The back driver side door button works perfectly, but the drivers lock button works maybe 20% of the time.

Never had an issue before the update. I’d rather not have to pull the 12V in order to fix it tbh.

Without having any other way to reboot all the modules by pressing a button on the screen, this seems to be the only way to resolve software issues. I understand the hesitation for the 12v pull, but I also hate having to rely on the dealership.

I pulled the panels a few weeks ago to unplug the 12V battery. Afterwards the lock buttons on the B and C pillars work much more reliably, usually about 85% of the time on the first touch. But I have still noticed a few times where the side mirrors don't automatically fold.

@kennelh, you're the first person I've seen to also acknowledge that the 12v battery pull works for this specific issue. I've been suggesting this for months, but I had not seen another confirmation. Thank you.

I had a version of this door lock capacitive touch point and open button both being less responsive, particularly the lock “button”, after the dealer applied the recall fix to my 23.5. Several weeks after the dealer fix my car received an OTA, which successfully installed, for precisely the same recall campaign. The door unlock and lock “buttons” seem to be functioning more reliably now. Maybe it’s coincidence, or maybe the OTA has enhancements to the original dealer fix. 🤔
