Have an appointment scheduled in a week, but anyone have suggestions on a soft rattling noise coming from the passenger dash area, but only above 50mph and worse when it's windier/bumpier?

Because of the speed/wind, makes me think maybe something got into the vents? But I can't get it to go away or worse changing fan speed or the AC. Have tried emptying the glove box, door pockets, etc. No luck. Don't see any loose wheel well panels, etc.

This is on a 2023 GT PE. I had no rattles on my previous 2021 Job1 Premium so this little rattle is really annoying...especially since I picked the Mach-E over a Tesla to avoid build quality/rattle issues.

Are you sure it’s not coming from the frunk area. One of the panels might have gotten loose.

Check for loose items. Every rattle in my electric pony has been from loose items in the cabin / trunk / frunk.

Almost every time I hear a rattle in my mach-e, it turns out to be glasses in the sunglass holder. (This is also probably one of the easiest things to check by just taking out the glasses.)

I had a rattle that turned out to be the main screen. When I pushed on it and held it steady it, the rattle stopped. Dealership tightened it up. No more rattle.

Speaking of which, I installed a 12V battery monitor a few months ago and in doing so discovered a loose frunk bolt quite by accident. Then I had to check every other bolt in sight. That was the only loose fastener, whew.

update:

dealer thinks the cause of rattle as warped passenger side speaker grille. part's backordered so i'll report back if the replacement fixes the problems.

update: after nearly 3 months, 2 grill and 2 dash replacements, multiple test drives and the involvement of at least 3 ford engineers coming to the dealership to advise the local tech, and a trip to the body shop and checking pinch welds, the rattle is finally gone.

they added some sound insulation foam in the dash and tape over some bolts the last dash re-installation and that seemed to finally solve it.

at one point they tried to bring up my aftermarket sway bars - just silly...

still have to bring back tomorrow because i think they didn't reconnect the light sensor (or it's broken)... my main display is super dim despite trying the adjustments buttons to the left of the steering wheel and resetting the panel w/volume down/next. the ability to increase brightness is blanked out in the settings screen.

sigh...i love the GT PE but these quality/service issues in such a new car is frustrating

I had a rattle on the driver-side. Mostly at low speeds. Turned out to be the "sway bar bracket" or some such thing. Basically they explained to me that the end point of the sway bar is in a bracket that is packed in grease and has some movement to it. The grease seal leaked, and went "dry". They replaced the bracket (socket?) and repacked it with grease.

$200 dollars later, no problem. I suspect some dealers are "fixing" this by replacing the entire sway bar to juice returns, but that's just a theory.

after checking software updates, turned out the light sensor wire had tension and that was fixed. this time it was just in for the day, with valet pick up and drop off service, so pretty good service considering it was the day before christmas.

Incessant rattle from passenger side, too. Left wife at home……….cured😁
mine let me get the GT PE so there's that....

but yeah, it'd be nice for there to be a button in the mach-e to cancel the speed check/side-seat driver alerts/comments :)
