Hope all gets fixed - especially the screen whine - that would be a deal breaker for me (sensitive ears). My order is with Fullerton/Somerville.
If it was Apple, they would simply say that you are listening to it the wrong way. Serioulsy, I wonder if any engineer noticed it at all and just thought no big deal let it pass.

Same dealer, they were great to work with. Joe Orlando and John Caruso were wonderful during the entire process. I really rate them high, while like the rest of us they are starving to learn all about the MME and educate others. So much of everything is new to the dealer, Ford really should have more programs in place to help them but that alone might not be enough. Time will allow for this really, we are just early adopters. Make sure to sign the driver assist form and they are now good with NO EV TAX on the MME.

For anyone else they were no a ADM, took the X-PLAN (Mustang Club) and its $100 for doc fees with it, can't go wrong. Also it looks like if you ordered last year like many of us you might be able to squeeze in the NJ rebate if your MSRP is less than 55K.

They are not fixing the whine, I didn't even bring it up as I honestly can't hear it unless it's totally silent and that only really when I am listing closely. My ears have a high pitched background sound for years 24/7. However I can confirm that its there and it's sound like it's coming from the backlit LED or driver board behind the center screen. Maybe later on there will be a TSB on it, if so I will ask for it to be swapped out maybe.

Somerville says they have about about 10 MME's coming in for stock, so anyone in the local area and interested there should be ones for sale soon.

The kick of it is, they gave me a loaner FORD ICE and I already miss the MME...
That's something that has worried me for a while. They really need a policy moving forward that BEV customers get BEV loaners.

My sales person and the sales manager who I worked with are both out today, if they were in I would have asked to borrow the DEMO MME. I guess it's like asking a vegan to eat meat, but with that said I didn't want to sit at the dealer all day either.

Sounds like a great dealer.
You should ignore any messages that you may receive on Ford Pass while they are working on your car.

Only alert was that they triggered the alarm :)

But the original error has cleared from Ford Pass, so that is great news!

They most likely are just taking it for a joy ride and lunch. Kidding...

The MME emits a sound to warn pedestrians in reverse and at low speeds (I believe up to 20 mph, but I'm not sure about the exact speed). That's by design to make up for a lack of engine sound and to avoid sneaking up on unsuspecting pedestrians. It's different than the artificial engine sound (which is generated in the cabin only). I noticed it too during the test drive; the sound went away as soon as I sped up and returned when I was driving slow through the parking lot. It was noticeable but not particularly annoying.
Yep - this is my experience as well.

If the car is started but still in Park you wont hear it. If it is in Drive you will hear it at low-ish speeds. If in Reverse you'll hear the same sound... except there's a chime audio sound (about once per second) added to it. It's sort like construction equipment that makes beeping noises when in reverse... but a lot less obnoxious.

You can learn about it here:

https://media.ford.com/content/ford...drive-sounds-inspire-a-thumping-new-song.html

Here's another sample ... and this one sounds a bit more like electronic buzz. They put the car in drive at about 6m40s in the video ... listen for it (I set the URL to start playing at 6m34s ... so it starts quiet and you'll hear the noise a few seconds later).

If this is the sound people are hearing ... that's normal and part of complying with new government regulations that require the car make these sounds.

Yup, that's it!!

Thanks!

Oh yea, got to love those regulations, however have to find where to disable that ?

Does the EU or other regions have the same regulation or is this just a USA thing?

Congrats on the RR MME! I'm glad you had a good experience with Fullerton. I remember seeing their series of ads on TV. Some were pretty funny. I hope they fix your issues quickly so you can get to the good stuff with your MME.

Here's Dean of Fullerton:

Dealer says new errors, one for the front Camera which was just shipping plastic not removed off the lens, however the other is for the charging system, waiting for more news.

Got the call to come pickup my MME, said a reboot and reprogram cleared the errors and after a test drive none have come back. Hopefully I am in the clear... Keeping positive, don't want to go back again either. Thanks folks for sticking with me.
