I just received this email reminder.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Renew Ford Connected Navigation today? Why would I? Screenshot 2026-04-21 at 10.29.47 AM

@Ford Motor Company : Why would I pay for this service? After 2 full years of access to the Tesla network and almost 3 years since the announcement it was coming, Ford Connected Navigation still won't route me to Tesla Superchargers. That is roughly half the available DCFC locations in the country and the only way to make some routes work.

Is there any value to this product anymore? The Soon™ on this one has expired.

Maybe Garmin raised their prices and Ford needs more subscribers so they can afford the new update from them?

I'm in the same boat. My Ford Nav subscription expires in June. I never use this antiquated application except maybe twice a year when I use it for battery preconditioning on a winter road trip (but obviously not at a Tesla SC). That doesn't justify the expense. Give up on it, Ford. This subscription service is not a money maker, instead, it simply angers loyal customers.

You can precondition from the app too. Find the charge station you're looking for and open via Apple Maps. This sends a precondition to the vehicle when in route.
Sorry, but no, that doesn't work. That feature is only available when you use Apple Maps to navigate to a destination, and Apple Maps adds a supercharger stop. If you select a Supercharger station in Apple Maps and navigate directly to it, you get no preconditioning. Plus, that feature doesn't exist at all on pre-2026 model years. Apple has no plans to change the system. This leaves only the built-in native Navigation for preconditioning.

Or get an Android phone and use Google Maps.

Do I wish the Ford Nav included Tesla Supercharger stations? Yes, that would be convenient and keep me from using my phone to find them when I need one. Do I still use the Ford Nav app? Yes, all the time. Why? Because I like it, and I don't care about preconditioning. I'll take the time hit when I'm on a road trip, it's not that big a deal to me.

I am confused. I literally navigated to a Tesla supercharger at a buc-ees and the little miles to battery icon showed. What am I missing?

I believe tesla superchargers with magic dock have always shown up on older Mach-Es but V3 superchargers only on 2025+ model years so far.

one of my MMEs navi expired and I opted to pay for ABRP rather extend Ford Navi. I'm in California so I can survive without preconditioning battery, and ABRP much superior charging planning app.

How many trips have you taken where it is below freezing during the trip?
