It’s too early in the game IMO. And have to wonder why Tesla dropped prices which only tells me the Mach E is impacting them. The tax credit alone is a huge discount on purchasing the car in itself which is an incentive. As far as discounting anything is possible but can’t see huge discounts. I would be more concerned of the range factor to value factor 2-3 years from now. Meaning the Extended range I feel is pretty safe to a degree but the 200 mile range would concern me more. And if the 300 mile EV VEHICLES start being common in 2-3 years and reasonably priced than the value of your 200 mile range took the biggest depreciation. Summing it up I would be more focused on value to purchase than the discounts.

I concur with this analysis. not that any of us know anything! ?

but it does very much feel like when some of us on here were talking about how Tesla is very scared about the Mach-E, the ID.3/ID.4, etc., that we might have gotten that right.

Should I link the newest video of a Tesla losing its rear window on the highway that came out yesterday? They can lower the price all they want, I’m still not buying a Tesla.
But to answer the question, no I doubt a price drop is in the future because of this.

Do you expect Ford and other brands to react to this drop? With more than a thousand Mach-E available at the dealerships across the country, I'd expect more discounts / under MSRP offers with the pricing wars heating up. Thoughts?

Sales are way down right now Model 3 is not selling well at all. Everyone is waiting to see if the 7,500 tax credit comes back.
There are not 1,000's of mache at dealers unsold. lol

The price increase on the performance model y now will interesting vs the mache gt.

yeah there was one report on here about "they are all over the place on lots in Vancouver" but it seems like that at non-ADM dealers and even one or two ADM cases we know of, that even "cancelled" orders get sold very quickly. I don't think we've had any documented evidence of any Mach-E sitting delivered, but unsold, on a lot of any substantial period of time. (you can't go off dealer web sites because they do funny things like list ordered but not delivered cars as "in stock" and other such weirdness)

the one I test drove last Saturday morning was sold that afternoon for example.
