I’ve always noticed a small problem with the power windows some call this “bounce back” it happens when you lower the windows with the auto push, if I stop midway down and reverse to go back up it will not go up and go back down and I “lose” the auto up or down feature. I reset it by going all the way down.
I took it to the dealer and they said the tec was going to replace the motors but before doing that he tested it with other mache on the lot and they all did it. Is this right? Do we all get this bounce back… really sounds like a bad design

It’s in the owners manual.

Aha! But it’s not supposed to bounce back in the absence of an obstruction.

Mine does it randomly and has done for nearly 5 years🙄
I had it happen once about a year or two into ownership. I followed the instructions from the manual and it hasn't happened since (more than 5 years ownership).

Do you think if I said I've never experienced this issue, it would jinx things?

🤔

Define SOMEtimes.

10, 15, 30 or more times in 5 years😂
Sounds like something is impeding your window in the linkage or along the track.
You don't have In-Channel Ventvisors do you?

I got double overhead sump plugs and a pangalactic gargleblaster but nothing attached to the windows of any form - bog-standard.

Just put it down to STS - shopping trolley syndrome - a characteristic these cars seem to have built in - do what they like go where they like when and how they like in the most random manner consistent with anything built or at least programmed by IT people 🙄

Recalibrate it.

or visit you least unfavorite dealer if none of that works. ;)
Can’t be arsed!

Don’t really concern me sufficiently to get a dealer involved.

I’m just reporting my experience - explaining, not complaining 😁

And I never found a least favourite dealer.

I have Sandicliffe Ford of Nottingham & Perrys Ford of Mansfield for all my Ford & EV specific support, servicing etc and Nottingham Alignment Services (non-Ford) I use for general work like annual MOT Testing, tyres, wheel alignment, drawing transmission oil samples & other general support and they all have been just great, fantastic in fact.

I love my car, my garages, my life - my world is a beautiful place 😁
