So many issues with Mach-E? A bit disappointed!

Just curious. Are people in moderate weather as in California also having the 12V battery issue?
Or is it only happening in the regions hit by the Arctic cold front?

Battery power being reduced due to extreme cold is quite common. I haven't read all 15 pages. Has Ford said anything on when it will resolve the 12V battery draining issue?
Ford engineers have been working on this problem. They believed they had it solved with a software update and that has seemed to work for some. In my case, the car had other issues after the software update and they are still working on it.

I suspect it won't be long before this issue is entirely in our rear-view mirrors.

FWIW in re WiFi connectivity. I finally connected today on a tip from CSR Emiliano at eero.
My home is running FiOS with an eero mesh system, 2.4 and 5.0 Ghz bonded to a single SSID. It's been up for a couple years with dozens of devices online with no issues. MME would accept valid password, but could not connect. (MME connected fine at local Starbucks parking lot.) Tried separating bands which did not work. Emiliano noted I was using an SSID with a special character, a hyphen, and had me set up a clean guest account w/o special characters, and...BINGO! :)
Nice! I'm running FIOS with bonded 2.4 and 5.0 but no mesh. Both of our FIOS-supplied SSIDs have a hyphen. Once I get Marlin home I'll try this.

I would like to see the actual numbers of incidences with these different issues.
Do not expect Ford to provide this list. Plus every vehicle will not have all issues. I will likely never have an issue with cold temps.

My neighbor bought a Tesla Model Y and not home a week and having to have it serviced. Fit and finish poor compared to the Mach-E I drove. Model Y had a bunch with a wire harness dangling from the right front wheel well. The grass is not greener in Tesla land.

Reading owner forums is a good way to obtain information on a vehicle's "status". Learned from the Tesla owner forums about multiple build issues and the company's responses to them. It became evident, I wasn't interested in the Tesla motto: build and repair/fix when pushed after delivery.
This forum will help provide Ford's approach.

That's true, but I am beginning to think that this level of quality control (or lack of) may be the new norm. That's sad.

I can confirm they ARE.
Of course Ford folks are reading this. If they did not, it would be akin to the Titanic by ignoring the icebergs as they appear...whether small or large. The difficult part is isolating the cause if the problem has been noted only by a few...did they read the manual so to speak or is it a real problem?

With all of these issues
- I will not download the ford pass app and just use the key fob for now
- I will not connect to my home wifi.
- I will only charge at home on my JuiceBox 40 and charge to only 80% (whatever that range is)
- I will wait until all of these issues are resolved.
Picking up my Mach-e in a couple of weeks.

In the software world the quality control mentality has evolved into a get it out and fix any issues not caught in testing post ship as software updates are relatively easy :(, for manufacturing you would expect less of that. For tesla the build quality has never been that great from the start and it seems to take them a while to sort it out, this is made worse by them ramping up to produce a large number of vehicles.

Most new vehicles have teething problems however unlike tesla like legacy manufacturers have been making cars for decades so there really should be no excuses in this day an age so potential lemons and teething issues should be kept to a minimum.

The fact there are issues for what by ford standards is such a low volume of manufacture and expensive vehicle is disappointing to see especially since customers have been waiting a very long time since making a reservation, ford should have learnt from the mess of the explorer launch so lets hope for a swift resolution to all these issues so that all new owners get to enjoy their shiny new purchase as expected.

Here's another one and I hope I am the only one with this issue. The AC exhaust opens on its own every 1 minute even though I close it every time. At the dealership they think its got something to do with the touchscreen because that is how you open and close the exhaust. i but dont think so because that option appears as a pop up window and doest not stay static on the screen to be toggled on and off. Been having this issue from the time I picked the car in January. Hoping this is an OTA solution

Nothing is ever really perfected. They patch, update, fix bugs, patch, update and then abandon and move to the new model or version and start the whole process over from scratch. Just the way it is I guess.

By "AC exhaust", do you mean the climate control system is flipping between fresh air and recirc modes? What climate control settings are you using?

Anyone have a really loose gear selector? I haven’t taken delivery yet (tomorrow) but noticed how substantially loose and wobbly the gear dial is in comparison to the explorer I’m driving right now.
