So for my zip code, (94571), within a 100 radius there are 100 plus Mace E’s available on the Ford Inventory Web site, or so you would believe.
Drilling dow a little further my interest is in a Racing Red Premium in any battery or motor configuration. So that 100 plus list is reduced to 17 cars.
Great - I have several to choose from - not so fast. None are available for sale as of Friday, April 2ed)! I spent most of the day using the web sites “I’m interested” button to sent inquiries to all of the listed dealers on the availability of that car. To their credit all got back to me in person within 24 hours with basically the same line that goes something like this - we are sorry we do not have that car in stock, or it’s a customer ordered car and not for sale. Under my breath I’m thinking then why is it on the Ford inventory web site, but I digress.
Some dealers had a few for sale that were not what I was looking for. One dealer had a Grabber Blue FE. When I said I was interested the conversation changed to a additional $4000 ADM and no X-plan. My offer of $5000 off, (basically removing the ADM and 1K for missing out on x-plan), come back with a flat “no”.
I have also learned to not mention what the ADM is and if they support x-plan. And for God’s sake never mention Mike Levine comments on ADM.
This would be upsetting if not for the fact I have two on order from last year, (due in late June), but as a retail buyer looking for a Mach E it’s just so frustrating.
