Tonight I was at the stop lights with my family and straight on the other side of me is an ICE Mustang. Once he saw that I noticed him, he revved up his engine.

What am I supposed to do here? Roll down my window and yell "VROOM! VROOM!"?

Look over, smile, give him the “wassup bruh” head nod, give him the thumbs-up.

Roll your window down and ask him how much he paid in gas last time he filled up. ?

Sometimes I wish you could put it in neutral and have the propulsion sound play through the inside and outside as you pressed the pedal. No actual movement, just pure theater.

I was originally thinking tie fighters in the past but this is even better!
Or play the sound of a P-51 Mustang revving up! That plane was the pinnacle of propellor driven fighters.

Some people would argue the Bearcat was. It just arrived too late to see any action.

Due to contracts, the original engine in the P-51 was a General Motors (Allison) engine, even though the designers wanted the Rolls-Royce Merlin. The P-51’s Merlin engine was later built under license from Rolls-Royce by another GM division (Packard).

North American Aviation was founded by German refugees who fled the fascist Nazis. It was later absorbed into GM. I just love the irony of a machine designed by refugees from the Nazis being the first fighter that could effectively escort bombers from England to Berlin.

This is the EV stop light Grands Prix conundrum. There is nothing you can do but nod or thumbs up or whatever. Instant torque is the upside, silence or scree is the downside.
