2022 model year if I make reservation today?

I was told that if I reserved the Mach-E Select model today (August 5) it would be the 2022 model. Does this sound correct? I thought I read a post that I would need to order after September 3rd or something like that to get the 2022 model. Since I am new to this forum can anyone tell me why I can’t order the extended range battery in the Select model? I hope I don’t sound stupid with some of my questions. Thanks

The Select model is the standard range battery ONLY, RWD standard, AWD optional.
The California Route 1 is extended battery and RWD only.
The Premium is either battery or either drive.

Because Ford said so.

Select is supposed to be the lower priced trim, so no expensive extended range battery.
