Yes yes, please!!! Tesla owners can use Siri on their Apple Watch to open their frunk hood and rear lift gate which would be cool even with hands free lift gate since then you can open it as you approach with your hands full, no kick needed ?

It used to be on the Apple Watch. It went away fast.

The MyFordMobile app for the FFE/Energi car's was on the watch for years. Probably 2014/15 they released that. It worked fine. FordPass was on the watch for a bit and I used it...it worked better than the actual app for remote starting. Then they sadly removed it. Hopefully they bring it back.

You can add siri shortcuts to start/lock/unlock your car. They work from the watch too. I have those done and it is wayyyy faster than using the FordPass app.

Yes, but only if things actually work as planned. I'd rather they focus their energy on fixing the phone app, then start other platforms.

Yeah it started on apple watch then it vanished after a few weeks saying it will return when its working better
yeah, sure I'll beleive that after so many weeks. They have completely forgotten about the watch feature and apparently could care less. But yes, I found it very useful. Neither the phone app or watch should be hard to fix. Everyone else seems to have a handle on it.

What I would prefer is for the Mach-E to work with the Digital Key standard, which both Apple (as "Car Keys") and Android (in Android 12) support. That way it's not Ford developing specifically for each device. Ford builds to the cross-platform standard, the platforms develop the rest of the experience.

Example: When the Apple Watch rolled out, Wallet passes worked day 1 without any additional third-party development. The existing tech Just Worked™ on the Watch.

That standardization can work as the platforms evolve with features, without Ford needing to spend engineering time to support something new.

The Car Key is pretty bad right now (I have a MY21 5er BMW with it), but in future with the UWB-support it will actually do something.

It will work like all the Bluetooth-app salesmen hoped their implementation would.

So let’s hope Ford release a car with it in the future.
