Hmm. It's hard to imagine it taking six months for delivery. Since you are able to track it, I assume you have the VIN number.

Would you mind posting what you see when you enter the VIN in the forum tracker:

Thanks for posting all that. The main thing I was concerned about is that it had somehow been sold to someone else. But it definitely seems to still be in transit to the dealership.

So, it took over three months to get from Kansas City from Mexico. And it has now been over two months since it was transferred from there to Birmingham for transport on Norfolk Southern. I think your parents are wise to be leery about the vehicle's history at this point, and I think they should inspect it carefully. Who knows, it may have been something minor that caused the delays, but it doesn't hurt to be thorough. I'm sure the dealership will also make sure everything is in order as well.

Hopefully it will finally arrive at the dealership soon despite it missing another delivery date. You might want to ask the dealership to get a Vehicle Visibility Report which might provide more details of where it is right now.

I wouldn't accept it at all without a really believable story. Something is way off here. I'd be very leary of this order. maybe it was damaged or something.

We’ve contacted the dealer many many times. They can’t figure out why it’s not here either.

Email the chief customer experience officer for Ford. The office actually responds.

I’m glad others think it’s nuts as well. We’ve contacted the dealer several times. They currently say it’s in Delaware and been removed from shipment.

One more data point to track if your car actually is in Delaware... this is the trucking company that will most likely deliver it from the rail yard to the dealership. They delivered mine to Conshohocken, PA.

I would be more concerned of where it has been than where it is now. Talk to the dealer's general manager, and inist they get a statement form at least a regional ford rep. they can figure this out.

Try clicking on the dealer name. It's been a while (sorry) but I think that took me to a signed delivery slip with a signature from someone at the dealership that accepted it. It may give you a better idea of where it is between the Delaware rail yard and the dealership.

I guess that link doesn't show up until the dealership accepts the vehicle. Here's an example VIN from another vehicle at that same dealership: 1FM5K8GC2MGB29221

Maybe you could get more information from the trucking company than the dealership/Ford is giving you. Try giving them a call with your VIN or Load Number.
