So I've started bringing my dog with me here and there in my MME and I've noticed that the alarm system is WAY too sensitive. Even when you choose to turn off motion sensors, my dog being in the trunk and shifting around is enough to set off the alarm over and over. I assumed he had been jumping around into the backseat or something but when I get to the car, he's just sitting there quietly in the trunk.

Have any dog owners here found a way to have your dog in the car while you run into a store for literally 2 minutes without the alarm going off?

YES!! This car is almost unusable to leave anything alive in it while you leave. I popped into a convenience store and left my wife in the car. Car auto-locked obviously because that's what it does...then 2 mins later, alarm goes off. My wife was sitting still reading her phone. I don't think it has to be a big dog bounding around, a cat or a mouse would probably set that thing off (regardless of the settings you key in when you leave the car).

I think a potted plant might even set off the alarm if it is growing too fast.

It think it is illegal here to leave pets in a parked car. It will kill them pretty quick.

I went through a 2 week period where my alarm was constantly going off.
In the garage, I leave my car unlocked, windows down, key fob in the console.

Just walking past the car would set it off. It went off once when backing out my Explorer which was parked next to it. It stopped doing it just as quickly as it began. Software updates, perhaps?

Are you sure your internal motion sensors are still turned off? Check your settings!

Whats that you say? The sensors are back on again? Well maybe you forgot to turn them off! Turn them off again.

Now restart your car. Go check and see if your motion sensors are still set to off.

(Hee hee, this is gonna be fun.)
