I was just getting into my car at Home Depot and through the 'screen I spot a Model Y pulling in right in front of me. The driver and I make eye contact.... I get out.... he gets out..... braces, and asks "How do you like it?"

He (about 35) had his Y for 8 months or so and I gathered during our mutual tours and dissections of each other's cars that he was less than pleased with his Tesla. He said it was a fine car but NOTHING to write home about and proceeded to point out minor complaints. Complaints you could actually point at.

His Tesla was also black.

His wife is looking for a new car and driving a newer Lexus, she's decided that she's definitely NOT getting a Tesla.

I told him to hold off a month and order a '22.

I would tell women love Mach-E a lot.

My Mach-E has gotten a lot of attention from people around here, but not from Tesla owners. Most of them around Oregon are snobs. I'm sure there are a few exceptions out there but I have not found them.

I've test driven a Tesla MYLR twice, with the 2nd time being yesterday. It was telling when I got back into my wife's Volvo P8 Recharge and liked it much more than the Model Y.

If Tesla ever really opens up their supercharger network, I think the main reason for getting a Tesla goes in the tank. That's been my biggest concern with my wife's Volvo, the charging networks. Where they are, how many people are using them (safety), etc.

I do believe that Tesla becomes more of an Infrastructure company (think BP type) with secondary focus on solar. I think the car brand is going to disappear in the next decade or 2 as more of your legacy automakers dive in full to EV.

Can you imagine the people who will think of charging at a brand of EV charger like some people who have suspicions about gasoline? "Brand T has dirt in their fuel." "Brand E has crappy octane." "Brand C has additives that eat up your fuel storage unit."

EA adds electron-smoothing quarks to their electricity. Gives the batteries a boost.
