OTA Power Up 1.7.1 preview

Forgive the dumb question, but what exactly are these PowerUp updates updating? My car received 3 updates in this order - first a completely non-descript bug fix, second was PowerUp 1.4 and then 1.6. My Ford Sync version is still at 243 (my car was produced in March/2021). Will Ford Sync ever get updated OTA?

Like many companies, Ford is notoriously vague with their update release notes. I know one of the Power Ups was for the GWM. As for the rest... ? ?‍

Alright, I've been thinking about this. I think we got it all wrong. When we heard OTA, we thought Over The Air. I think Ford meant Over The Allen. You can get updates if your dealership has a guy named Allen that works in the service department. Call around, see if you can find a local dealer with an Allen and ask him for 1.7.1. He probably has BlueCruise available too. I think we have just been looking at this wrong. I'm not sure if it requires an Alan, Allen, Allan, etc. Maybe we all call around and keep a list.

Not me and now I think my car is going backwards. My car went back to only being able to open the driver door by opening the back passenger door first. I fixed it once by disconnecting the 12V battery and it fixed it. As of yesterday that fix stopped working. I am hoping this new update that never seems to come will fix it so I don't have to disconnect the battery again it resets the mileage and other things.

Have a long trip Sunday... would be a nice surprise to get Bluecruise before then. I have signed up for early access but no dice so far
