It has to happen when you have visitors and you want to show off the car
It was dark and as I approached the car in the driveway, no lights came on and the illuminated door buttons did not illuminate So, fumbling in the dark I found the drivers door button. I opened the door and no interior lights came on. All the passengers had to fumble for the buttons in the dark. The driver display semi woke up just displaying the gear selector positions and the main screen was dark. The passengers and I belted up (or tried to in the dark.) I had to press the front light interior buttons to work the lights. Non of the interior switches were illuminated.
I pressed the start button and everything sprang into life. The car complained that one of the seatbelts was not fastened. I checked and everyone had belted up. During the short drive to our destination (pub meal) the seatbelt warning was displayed with the blessed "bong" going off all the time.
After the meal I approached the car with trepidation and it woke up as I approached, everyone belted up and everything was fine. Perhaps I should name it Christine. I will contact my Ford dealer but does anyone have any theories. The car was charged up to 78% before the journey.
