I don't know how I feel about this symbol, I am getting some metric vibes off of it.

I think the use of a tilde (this ~) would be more American, so that the average consumption symbol should look something more like this ~? 3.3 mi/kWh.

I do not think that means what you think it means.

To me, ~ indicates “approximately”, or “roughly”, or “I haven’t bothered to take the time to actually do this calculation, but I think this is good enough”.

Agree with the Zero with the slash. Learned that in physics. Do you also put a cross bar on your "Z"s or Zeds as our English and Canadian friends call it?

I suspect Ford is trying to have software that is as universal as they can. Now, if they would just try to have it as stable and functional as they can.....
I am a US born and educated engineer and have used the zero slash AND the crossbar Z most of my life.

But, how do you write your "7"s? LOL we are pretty off the beaten path here aren't we?

Sorry - I actually have a life outside this forum ? I was making a pathetic attempt at “running” 13.1 miles down at Walt Disney World. Someday, I’ll learn to just stop trying and give up ???
Half marathons are fun. Fulls are not. I wanted to do one of the "I can't believe I was that stupid" runs at Disney land. 10K on Friday and the half on Saturday. Unfortunately (or fortunately??) my left knee checked out before I could get it done.

When you're done with the half. Post your results here along with your approximate pace. Be certain to use the proper approximate symbol without providing any explanation. ;)

Agree that ~ means 'approximately', I think in this context it could imply it's some sort of dynamic average calculation, a consumption rate, i.e. reduce confusion that there were only 3.3 miles left in the battery or whatever prompted the change.

Like if I saw this: ~? 3.3 mi/kWh

versus this: ? 3.3 mi/kWh

I would more easily understand the first one to be some sort of consumption rate due to the ~.

Yes, but as we discussed before it IS an approximation - not only is it rounded to tenths but not all values are displayed: it goes from 3.0 ~ 3.1 ~ 3.3 ~ 3.5 ~ 3.7 ~ 3.9.

See what I did there?

No , but I do put a "dash" through my "7"s and a half-angle top to my "1"s.

I think Ford added the Ø to distract us from the fact that the values for This trip are wildly inaccurate on their 'battery diameter meter.' ?

Actually, I will pass on posting this years results. While I finished, I had a “technical issue” at mile 11 and went into “turtle mode” while waiting for the OTA (which I am STILL waiting for ?)
Sadly, I have a knee issue and my orthopedist has told me no distances longer than a half ??‍? I highly recommend runDisney events to anyone who wants to “run” and have fun. The course is flat, lots of on-course entertainment (the W&D has an after party where EPCOT is kept open until after midnight), and it’s welcoming of runners of all capabilities.
Edit: I just reread your post and saw you said Disneyland. runDisney no longer has events at Disneyland. They only have events at the Walt Disney World Resort and A half marathon at Paris Disneyland.
