Custom Vanity Plates - What's Yours?

I cant get a vanity plate till I have the car. I have had vanity plates before. I am researching the plate I want. Theres plenty of good ones posted here on this site. To me, the vanity plate on the ME is the icing on the cake.

I order personalized plates all the time before I get my cars. I order them using the VIN for other cars I own then when the plate comes in, I inform DMV I decided not to use the plate on that car and pay a retention fee ($38) to keep the plate so I can use it on a future car. I ordered "MACHE4X" for my premium and "MMEGTPE" for my GT months before gettin those cars, that way I have the plates before the cars arrive.

Still waiting on my Colorado vanity plate. Any day now... They are sooooooooo slow. I'll post the pic when I get it.

I use to wait until I got a car but then half the time the plate I want would already be taken and here in CA it takes 3-6 months to get a vanity plate so I just like to be ahead of the game. For me, $38 to secure my choice and have the plate ready for when my car comes in is worth it.

Don't forget that sometime next year, the "standard" plate for us will be this:

Vanity plates will remove the stupid lightning bolt in the middle, but if you want the standard green plates, you'll need to register before this one comes out.

I ordered the plates for my Fusion’s VIN and was just going to put them on and wait until my GT-PE got here. The joke’s on me. My car took less time to reserve, order, and produce than my license plate. EPONY GT
