Another click bate title IMO.

I saw this the other day, meh the 80% charge I guess I could give that to him. But if you read it his "main" reason of getting rid of it is that he could not rent it out due to the pending recall. The guy basically bought it to try and make money renting it out.

The 80% is click bate to me. The lead is the recall and not being able to rent the car until it is fix. That's 3-6+ months of no rentals and that appears to be the deal breaker. Though 80% was annoying without the recall and inability to rent it sounds like he would have kept it.

Edit: Kabish beat me to it...what they said. =)

Well the 80% part is now fixed...whenever they push the OTA...though it isn't available for what seems July+build cars yet. For earlier builds the updates are available through FDRS.

Growing pains for Fords first non-compliance EV. While they have made a lot of mistakes...at least they're fixing them.

Yeah, it’s kind of an odd article.

“I’m selling my car because they’re fixing it!”

Basically something that could happen to any car, an open recall.

This isn’t even really an article, it a clever advertisement for Turo.

The whole point is giving people the idea of how to make money on Turo. They even do the math to make it sound like a great deal.

Shameless

The fact is he can probably get close to MSRP used, even with 22k miles. We all knew about the 80% when buying it. He stated that his rental company will not allow a vehicle with a safety recall to be rented.

I think I saw this same article written by at least 3 different blogs/websites.

It makes sense, if you buy a car intending to rent it to offset the cost, and then cannot rent it, well that changes things.

If you buy the car for yourself, waiting a month so the dealer can add compliant glue to the windshield might not be as big of a deal.

Yeah, I saw his video a few days ago...pretty useless as his use case isn't typical for most folks. More to get views maybe on their channel (like every other youtuber...).

Every Tesla article posted here: "the car is trash, Elon is the devil!"

Every Mach-E article here: "clickbait!"

Welcome to the internet.
i think this forum is far more respectful of other makes, including Tesla, than what i have seen in Tesla forums.

The only one I'm familiar with is TMC (Tesla Motors Club). The reddit Tesla forums are terrible, like most of reddit. I think Tesla Owners Online is the other large Tesla community but I'm not familiar with it.

Obviously there's always bias to the product each person prefers and purchase. I don't see much Ford bashing on TMC. On here, it can get pretty bad with the Tesla bashing, especially on Musk. I have about 21 people on ignore, which has made this place more manageable.

I think so as well.

But don’t worry about pt, I don’t think he’s made a single post on the Mach E forum that don’t reference Tesla somehow.

Maybe I should buy a Corvette and go troll the Civic forums in my spare time.
