I've seen that stated. I've driven almost 5,000 miles on the highway and not once have I noticed a speed change that wasn't tied to a sign. Yet it often catches a truck weigh station sign that says 45 despite the map knowing it's 70...It's been stated that the car uses both map data and camera.

Interesting. You may be the only non-GT that has it then.Mine has blue cruise. It is completely handsfree on my office drive.
Looks like Beta version, but does everything I expect it to do.
I am 100% certain that my Mustang Mach-E is occasionally using map data for the speed limit shown to me on my instrument cluster. And I'm certain that it tries to read speed limit signs optically, also.I've seen that stated. Sure. What's important in @hybrid2bev's reply is the link he included, to an extremely reputable source of truth. It's been stated that 2+2=7
Have you had it raise the speed, or lower it, using that map speed when no sign is present?I am 100% certain that my Mustang Mach-E is occasionally using map data for the speed limit shown to me on my instrument cluster. And I'm certain that it tries to read speed limit signs optically, also.
As one easy example of map data, the vehicle clears out the displayed speed limit when I'm on a tall bridge ramp that transitions me from one freeway to a different one. Once I'm off the bridge and in one of the merge-or-exit lanes for the new freeway, the limit pops back onto the display. There are no speed signs present for at least another half mile.
I turned off Intelligent cruise control after I tried it the first time.Have you had it raise the speed, or lower it, using that map speed when no sign is present?
Ford's definition of BlueCruise is fairly specific:There both "Blue Cruise" just not "hands free"....
The link was to a post by a guy named Ron. Ron may indeed be reputable and as truthful as the day is long, but that is not apparent from a single linked forum post.Sure. What's important in @hybrid2bev's reply is the link he included, to an extremely reputable source of truth.
I have this as well. Drove 2 hours without hands on, got beeped at for taking my eyes off the road. Select AWD w/ Comfort/Tech package, September build. Picked up 12/13.
