I tried that route twice. Basically, they have me check my wifi connection, reset the sync module, and verify that I had a good wifi signal. After that, they said to take it to a Ford Dealer. It was obvious they were following a script.

I am hesitant to take to a Ford Dealer at the moment. The car is running OK and based on stories that it is not getting fixed, I will wait till they find the root cause and a solution.

Don't take it to a Ford dealership they can't fix anything, been there done that.

that’s disappointing. Ford Customers Relation followed up with me regarding my failed update and they told me to bring it to a dealer.
I asked clearly if they were performing the power up at the dealer and they said “yes”.

Well after the problem with the Ford Pass app not being updated, which was fixed in about a day. I see I can now set my time to when to update the OTA. Also before I could not set the AutoUpdate to be ON (it keep on going to OFF). I can set it to ON and it stays on. It will be interesting to see if I do get updates now.

The software still says "I am up to date" but no version or such. I hear that is common when the SYNC is messed up.

Ford REALLY needs to fix the OTA update failure problem with the Early Build Job-1 vehicles.....

No information - No timelines - No help from the dealers.

Quite honestly, I expected more considering this is the Flagship EV from Ford!

What am I supposed to tell people that ask if I am happy with my Mach-E, when right now I am not? And this is truly sad, because the car is perfect for me. But the software is a mess.....

If not getting software updates as quickly as you would like is the only thing you can tell people that makes you not happy with the car, I'd say Ford has done a pretty good job overall then.

The Mach E has gotten 4 updates more than any other Ford I've ever owned. I did get one official Sync update on one of my Fusions but that was it. And OTA failed for that as well. If you had Wifi connected, it would actually just lock up sync, so USB was the only option.

Hello! Send us a private message with your MachE’s VIN and current mileage. Allow me to see what I can do to assist. Thanks!

The problem with your argument IMHO, is that this car is basically a computer on wheels. And as such, if there are factory software updates available, they should be available either by OTA or at the dealerships. Some cars seem to be corrected by the 21P22 FSA. Some don't. Mine was obviously not one of those that was corrected. So yes, software updates are a big deal. And since we really don't know what is being updated, how do I know if it is important or not? On my receipt from the dealership, it says the 21P22 was installed but the ABS module did not clear from the software update list. Should I be worried that the ABS system is not functioning properly? When I asked the tech about it, he just said I don't know. Not very reassuring.....

And without information from Ford when these things will be corrected, it is not a good experience.

So overall, Ford has some work to do. Again, just my humble opinion.
