I have my Mach-E at a detailing shop getting PPF and ceramic done and it's expected to be a 4-day job (yes, I'm getting "the works"). Into the second day now, my FordPass reports a message: "12V Battery Fault - Service Soon"
I suspect it's because the shop has the doors/gate open all day while they do their work. I'm not panicked, but I really don't want to pick up the car and then have the car go into shutdown mode on my way home.
I called the shop and told them about the fault. They said they'll look into turning off the interior lights etc. But I'm still concerned that they'll drain the LVB. I suggested that they can just have the car powered-on and hopefully the HVB will trickle charge the LVB while they work.
So once I pick up the car two days from now, any thoughts on how I can save myself from a massive hassle/calling roadside service for towing etc?
I was thinking that I could pick up a trickle charger/battery tender and then hook the battery up for a day immediately when I get home. Will this save/revive my battery?
Thanks in advance for any ideas!
