I updated my GT PE, Sep 21 build, with the latest software (via FDRS and Mongoose) a week ago. Following is confirmation of the improved DC charge rate:

Executive Summary: Despite the cold temps, the charge rate remained surprisingly steady all the way to 99%! Only a couple of percent drop the last few percent of charge. It was only a 50 kW charger, but the 20-24kW rate I saw at -25F was similar to the charge rate step down reported from 150 kW chargers.

Conditions
Sep 21 Build. 1100 Miles. No preheating. Car parked in heated garage 20 minutes before charging. 50KW FLO DC "Fast" Charger. Manual cabin heat left on for most of charge (set to 73F.)

Outside temp during charge -25 F

56F HV Batt temp in garage
39F HV Batt temp at start of charge
45F HV Batt temp at end of charge

78% HVB batt at start of Charge
99% HVB batt at end of Charge

Time to Charge 52 min
Energy Used 20.66 kWh

Ford Mustang Mach-E GTPE at -25F (-32C) - New DC Fast Charge Data from 78% to 99% Charge Summary

Following are some data captures from Car Scanner (I spent the time changing Car Scanner default screens, so that data fields are changed between data captures.

99%

Note of Interest: At 98% SOC, I turned the interior climate control to off and the coolant heater power went from 3.82 kW to 5.97 kW. I expected that the charge rate might increase when the load from interior climate was released. Instead the newly available power was all diverted to HVB heating.

You answered a question I had been pondering. When I get my Mach in a month or so I wanted to stop by GV to see what the pricing was for the chargers there. No way will I ever plan to use the chargers located there. I have a level 2 ready to go in my garage. Our electricity at 21 cents per kWh is already fairly high. Your data shows a rate of 50 cents per kWh! So I just need to make sure I never leave the house with less than 30 miles of range (maybe 50) as my Mach will just be an around town vehicle. Did you ever record the charge rate with your HVB at a lower SOC like 20 - 30%?

Yeah, I usually charge at home or work, but have been doing the occasional DC charge to see how they work in the cold. I've also been called to check out some of the interior's newly installed DC chargers so they can get a Mach E on their list of confirmed vehicles. Those call-outs have been free.

Yes, I have tested DC charging from ~30% and at temps down to -40.

Please tell me you didn't order a rapid red GT... ?

Lol, probably the ONLY two MMR's up there, now you'll be seeing "yourself" driving all over the place...

Well, if I take up bank robbery and use my GT as the getaway vehicle, your purchase will have doubled the list of possible suspects.

Even funnier, I had a Rapid Red FE that I shipped to Seattle last week so I wouldn't see another Red Mach E here.
