What cool thing do you wish you could have on your MME, but isn't available?

Acceleration past 50 mph.
I get fantastic acceleration past 50 mph. It’s like the number one differentiator between my MME and my old A4. Are you sure your car is ok?

Sorry if this has been posted, but I was just pondering this idea when I was driving around today.

(Also, I am absolutely smitten with the new car...I have zero complaints about it, other than some minor small issues, which is true of any car at any price point)

(also Mods, if this should be combined with another thread, then let me know. I'm sure some of the forum users will do so as well...)

One really cool idea would be to put a transparent opaque LCD insert into the glass room. If you don't know what I'm talking about, on some light panels or windows, you can have an electrically controlled LCD panel that can switch between mostly transparent to opaque in the blink of an eye. Since there is no shade built into the glass roofs, this could be mounted internally to protect it from the elements. You could go from clear to shade with the push of the button on the touch screen. Maybe someone could develop that...

Anyone have any other ideas?
I would like to be able to tow, not much the 1600 lbs the car can do in Europe would make me happy.

  1. Real buttons/dials for all climate control functions
  2. Remote start with maximum defrost
  3. Setting to "start charging only when below x%", so I can plug in when it's cold but not charge from 75-80 or something silly like that.

Why do you care if you are only charging 5%? It’s not bad for the battery.

Would absolutely love a “camp mode” feature. I think Kia has something similar called “utility mode” or something where the 12v battery is charged by the HVB even though the car isn’t fully started. Would allow you to run the AC or heater for a little while when car camping. Throw a 110 outlet to go along with it. At least the camp mode function would allow you ti charge a portable battery and run your 110 from that if solar charging wasn’t available.

Hard buttons for HVAC functions would be incredible. So hard to change those while driving.

The BlueCruise eye sensors should be mounted in the headliner - somewhere above the eyes, not below. Would be great to be allowed to use BC without triggering the eye warning every time I take a sip of coffee for too long or have my hand on the top part of the steering wheel (yes, I still like to keep my hands on the wheel because otherwise it’s like being a freaking pinball in the lanes). And make the BC eye sensors only active in BC zones rather than everywhere. I keep getting those stupid eye monitor warnings, and even subsequent brake checks, when I’m just using cruise control with my hands actually on the freaking steering wheel!

"Trip" mode for AWD vehicles that would in essence turn the MME into a RWD vehicle that could get over 300 miles per charge for use on long trips. Perhaps regenerative breaking and even other features could be optimized in "trip" mode to increase range further. For example, there could be an acknowledged decrease in some performance while in this mode, such as slower 0-60 times, in order to give increased range.

Probably already been said,

- AWD display to show where the power is going
- Physical Button on the dash to open hatch
- Hatch that opens a little more (hit my head a few times)
- Frunk button on keyfob like in Europe
- Faster DC charging
- Magniride on the premium
- Cockpit info on charging, amperage rate, completion times
-Better / preferred rates for Electrify America
-Android Wear App (my fusion PHEV had this)
-PAAK for android wear
-110v inverter in car (my fusion had this)
-longer range (its winter here)
- Undercar / road lighting for rural driving. If you have driven the car in very low light situations maybe you experienced what I did the lane-keeping goes a little bonkers when there is no light from the city.
-combine the proximity wave and 360 camera
-physical button for 360 camera
-Sidelights for 360 camera
-Dash Cam function
-see cameras through fordpass
-talk through fordpass
-Turn signal cameras
-Bluetooth connection to two phones at once so my work and personal phone can be answered
- advanced adjustment to regen, less or off on highway more on city streets
-some advanced settings for speed limit signs IE in Chicago the car wants to go the truck/bus speed limit.

1. Battery Preconditioning
2. Battery Preconditioning
3. Battery Preconditioning

Specifically, there should be both on-demand (FordPass and/or on the center display) and navigation-integrated preconditioning.

I had time to think about that today while I was chugging along at 37kw because my battery was too cold this morning.
The worst part is when it's really cold the battery never seems to heat up enough for you to hit decent speeds.

Honestly just a faster, more fluid display.

Ventilated seats with additional degrees of adjustment. Auto-aiming exterior mirrors. Remote frunk release would be handy.

Entering an itinerary the day before should prepare the car for that itinerary:

1) automatically charge to the percent needed to conduct the itinerary
2) precondition the battery to be ready at the time of scheduled departure
And a "precondition button" on Ford Pass for those unplanned trips. Push the button, wait 10 min, and go...
