I am planning an extended vacation and will have my Premium ER sitting in my garage for a few weeks. What is the best way to charge? And is there anything else I should do for the batteries? If I have to, I can get someone to start it for me.
TIA

Why would you have to get someone to start it for you? You have FordPass and full remote capability...

The manual tells you what to do for extended storage, defined as 30 days or more. https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/leaving-my-car-for-week-and-a-half.14259/post-343554

Otherwise, leave it plugged in if you can.

I just returned from a 3 week trip. I left my MME at 50% charge and not plugged in. It went into deep sleep while I was gone. When I returned home it was still at 50% charge and started right up. No problems at all.

Great to hear! How did you know it went into a deep sleep?

Ford Pass updated the status and reported it was in deep sleep. Deep, sleep is not necessarily bad.

If you live somewhere where the car would get below freezing or over around 100F, I would set the max charge level to 50% (in charge location settings) and leave it plugged in, that way it can pull shore power if necessary to maintain healthy battery temperatures but won't overcharge the batteries past 50%.

Live in sunny Florida and the weather should be just fine in March. Appreciate the advice.

I’m on an extended vacation now. It was sort of unexpected so my car is in my garage in northeast PA, plugged in and set to charge to 90% where it has been sitting. I will be away about 30 days. Oddly enough it hasn’t gone into deep sleep.
