Parked for Extended Period

My preference would be for a friend to drive the car on a short road trip once a month, something over 60 miles and for at least an hour.

I have 2 Mach Es, one in Ohio and one in Florida. The first time I stored the one in Ohio for 5 moths I disconnected the 12v battery and when I got back and reconnected it the vehicle would not start and had to be towed to the dealer to get reprogramed. The one in Florida I had charged to about 75% and just parked it. When I returned after 6 months it started right up. The next time I left Ohio I put a tender on the 12v battery and when I returned it started right up. I am not disconnecting the 12v any longer and would not recommend it.

Thanks for this. I plan to have a Mach E in Puerto Rico and it will sit from 3-8 months at a time depending how often we go down. This make me feel better about just leaving it there and not unplugging the 12v.
