Someone who knows something should confirm, but I have a suspicion that since the button layout is the same, they are identical electrically and the only thing that's different is the shell. If that's true I'm guessing the frunk button would open our trunk and the trunk button would set off our alarm. If someone has the part number for the euro keyfob with frunk button please share. I would like to get one and see if it works on our cars.
I would guess that's not the case. I did read several members say that the frunk button was disabled before 1.7.1. At any rate I would spend the $200 to find out.Someone who knows something should confirm, but I have a suspicion that since the button layout is the same, they are identical electrically and the only thing that's different is the shell. But again this is just speculation
I believe the panic button is mandated in the US, but that shouldn’t really matter since there’s room for both.We get an alarm button instead
Europe uses different frequencies. If someone has the part number for the euro keyfob with frunk button please share. I would like to get one and see if it works on our cars.
No. All the Power Up OTAs have been for early model year (June or earlier) cars so far. To get them up to the level your car is at.I have a December 2021 built Mach-e. Should I be receiving these updates?
Let me know if you are coming next year. I consign a car each year and bidder credentials are complimentary. Their strategy works because I end up buying something so my garage remains just as crowded as before. That’s the lot I used - I had bidder credentials.
Maybe they do use different frequencies, do you have any documentation showing that to be the case?I believe the panic button is mandated in the US, but that shouldn’t really matter since there’s room for both.
Europe uses different frequencies.
This was actually discussed at length on the forum about a year ago because of the shortage of Fobs. The final resolution was that they are on different frequencies. Someone actually acquired both types iirc.Maybe they do use different frequencies, do you have any documentation showing that to be the case?
Thanks, sounds like it's been tested. I will try to find the threadThis was actually discussed at length on the forum about a year ago because of the shortage of Fobs. The final resolution was that they are on different frequencies. Someone actually acquired both types iirc.
That would be a good idea, I’ve been known to be wrong. Thanks, sounds like it's been tested. I will try to find the thread
