You mean you have a mis-build? And the dealer didn’t catch this on pre-delivery inspection?

They did catch it. They offered me the option of taking the car as is and having it installed at their expense or rejecting the car. So, I made them get the part, ship it to my local dealer and pay my local dealer to install it for me. I can be a tough cookie.

Well I just updated to 2.3 and I do not have a frunk button on the access screen. I have an early build (Oct 2020) Job 1 car. Anyone else missing the button who's on 2.3 or 2.4.1?

The frunk button has not been activated for Job 1 cars yet.

It showed up in a BCM update a while ago (not OTA). Then Ford later removed it server-side.

Makes sense. I got annoyed with being stuck on 1.7.1 and caved and bought a Mongoose cable. Just did all my module updates and manually installed 2.3 so I was unaware.

Early builds of 1.7.1 added the frunk button to the center screen but it was never functional. They later removed it from that update.

I really wish the OP would change the title of this thread since 2.4.1 apparently has NOT been released to the general public yet..... As far as I can tell, most people are still at 2.3.0, which is labelled as 2.1.0 on the 'About' screen; and says we all have the latest Update.

The lack of version control, and lack of release notes is getting out of control. Ford needs to step up to an online searchable knowledgebase with release notes:
known bugs
fixed bugs
...and a way to submit bugs
...and a way to submit enhancement requests

This is SOP for Fords updates. They are released to Early Access members first. Then about 2 weeks later if there are no issues with EA cars it is released to the rest of the cars in staggered groups based on trim.

if you want to be a beta tester you can apply to be in the early access program.

In addition, many early access owners haven’t received 2.4 yet, so offhand I’d say it’s being tweaked some more.
