This order is so old, and communication from ford has been non existent. At this point chip shortages, all other issues should be of no consequence. Am I wrong in this? Anyone else out there experiencing this? Ordered a premium, AWD, extended range. On 9/27/21, Ford changed the order to a 2022.. without any communication to us. Have been pestering my dealer about all this regularly. Is this Ford or my dealer?? I feel like I’m completely inconsequential to this company, which is sad. My father, ex father in law, grandfather, uncle were all lifelong employees. My nephew is an engineer and rolled out the Mach e! Need some advice/help on this. Anyone out there had this same experience?

Please excuse if this has been done, but are you able to login to your Ford account and verify your email is configured in there correctly?

Something doesn't sound totally right, there have been people who have had really long waits, dealer allocations and what not. However, I definitely got an email when they change my order to a 22. So if you didn't get that I think something is up with you not receiving emails.

Have you checked with your dealer and maybe even reached out to Ford using the chat feature asking the status?

The other thing to ask about at the dealer level is what the order code is listed as. If it is set at 99 there will be no movement of your order. It should be in the 10 to 19 range.

Initial orders were 19. Now it’s saying 10. Just learning about the priority codes. Did my dealer set this? Do I understand correctly that this is set by the dealer and 19 is the lowest priority for retail order? Just going down the rabbit hole here. Will def reach out to Ford via chat right now.

10 is the highest priority a dealer can set so that's good to see. I would still try the Ford chat feature because that will allow you to see what Ford is seeing on their side.

My order for a Rapid Red Premium AWD ER was placed on 5/27/2021. In that time I have received no emails from Ford. I did talk with their hotline months ago and they were able to verify both my order and email address. My dealer has no idea why it has not been scheduled. According to them they have available allocations. When I ask my dealer for an update the response is always the same "I don't know". I passed being frustrated with the process about 5 months ago! It seems that I am left alone trying to push a rope uphill.

Well at least we aren’t alone I guess. At this point I believe my dealer maybe didn’t have allocations, maybe set my priority low, and that Ford’s whole order to delivery system is atrocious. My wife and I are meeting the sales manager tonight to be sure they know we’re extremely displeased. It’s all we can do at this point. We may go to the bmw dealer afterwards and possibly place an order and play winner takes it all. I’ve ordered from Ford in the past, and I’d love to say it wasn’t a bad experience, but it was. Just not nearly as bad in retrospect. I’m a large at buyer. My family is generational Ford employees. For them to lose the loyalty of a guy like me means something. This will catch up with them, eventually. Will sell my stock and be more open to a free agency style of buying.

Well we want what we want, and I won’t pay a premium. Don’t NEED the car, just want the car. Only thing I’m worried about at this point is losing out on the credit..

That was exactly my concern. Once Ford hits 200,000 units the credit gets cut in half.

I'm with you on that. I want the car I don't NEED it. I have been patient, maybe too patient to this point, but I feel my patience wearing very thin right now. I talked with the GM at my dealer yesterday and had a good heart to heart. He is waiting for a call back from his Ford rep. Depending on what he has to say, and how long it takes him to get back to me will determine what I do next.
