I have my MME GT PE charging at home using the Ford Connected Charger. When I plug it in, I often hear a clicking sound coming from the under side near the front of the car. It doesn't always persist. It doesn't always happen. Often when I get to the car in the morning as it's warming up, I hear the clicking sound. And I schedule my car to be ready for departure every day at 5PM. Often this is, again, accompanied by the clicking sound.

What does the sound mean (why am I hearing it)?
Should I be concerned?

Sounds like a Pinball machine, right? It's normal, the car is waking up because it senses the fob/paak. Mine stopped doing that because I turned off welcome lights (I think).

Hi there. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this on my end.

@Ford Motor Company , I really appreciate your participation in the forum, but you really need to start looking at the context of posts before pasting the standard "send me your VIN and dealership info". At this point, it's kind of crossed over into comical.

In this particular case, the clicks of relays, pumps, and the active shutters opening and closing when the car is plugged in is completely normal. I really hope you weren't going to send the OP to their dealer for this.

And that was what I'm looking for. It's normal is a fine response. I just wanted to make sure that hearing that sound wasn't a precursor to, "why didn't you get this obvious issue fixed?"

Yep. I get those. Just wait until your hot pony starts panting heavily during a charging session!

I heard that ONCE. It's really LOUD in a garage. It hasn't happened again to either mine or my wife's.

To be fair, they only work with what they’ve got, I doubt they gave each rep a Mach-E to try out or bring home. I appreciate them trying to help, but yeah, maybe some scripts or notes need updating
