Hello,
I did a search on the forum and the internet in general and couldn't find reports/solutions for this: we woke up to our hazard lights flashing on the vehicle (it was on the charger at the time). They won't turn off. We obviously tried pressing the hazard button on/off, started/restarted the car, took it for a ride and turned it off again etc. They won't turn off - help?!

That is really bizarre, I think you win for this week's weirdest issue.

I'm gonna hazard a guess (sorry, couldn't resist) that disconnecting the 12v would be a good next thing to try. Are there any error messages? You said it was on the charger, did it charge?

I love winning, but not necessarily for "weirdest issue" ? Love the pun too!

I have no error messages - checked the dash and the app. Yes, it charged completely. I took the charger out and the only message I get now is that the electric range is reduced because my "lights were left on while mach-e was off..." Thanks for that Ford - TRYING to shut them off. lol

I will try the 12v disconnect and report back here if that solves it. Thank you for the reply and advice.

I guess it’s most likely an issue with the switch or BCM. I guess it has happened to many Ford models. Here is a similar issue with Edge. A dealer fix.

Update: While we were researching what to do, it mysteriously stopped. Randomly turned on in the middle of the night some time, did it for an unknown number of hours, and now randomly stopped. Will monitor the rest of the weekend to see if it happens again. ?‍♀

Yes - The vehicle starts and is operating fine now. No idea why this might of happened. I take the vehicle in Monday for the windshield seal recall, so I will mention it to them.

You did not by chance spill anything on the console button?

Nothing spilled in it. It was just fine when we went to bed, no flashing etc. It was parked in the garage (since 5pm) and started doing it sometime between 10pm when we went to bed and 4:30am when we woke up and found the flashing.

Good question. I’m not sure I know how to tell. I looked on the vehicle display under SW updates and it just says it’s up to date. No version # or date last update. In the sync settings, the version number is blank as well.

That's not a good sign.

There's your problem. If you had gotten up at a normal time, say 7am, you wouldn't have caught it throwing an overnight party.
