12/6 Builds - The last of the 21's

It has finally happened. Picked up the car at noon today. Paperwork went well, no surprise. No sales pitch for useless items. I was given a 45 minute introduction to car and off I went.
car was charged to 100% and 230 miles. Temp here in NY was around 50 at the time. Not a great picture but was lazy and didn’t want to take outside again.

car is DMG, very dark almost looks black.

I hear ya, 8 months 10 days here…but ya know 6 months and 4 days is a heck of a long time.

Salesman said it could be anywhere from 1 to 14 days before it arrives at the dealership... So I don't know.

Picked mine up last Thursday after 9 1/2 months and I must say I had my doubts about the long wait and some of the stories on here of things that went wrong. So far I’ve had no issues and it’s a complete joy to drive. It just feels like a different driving experience. I love the one pedal driving and the quick response. Charging in my garage couldn’t be easier. I could go on and on but I’m very happy with this car (knock on wood).

I sold my second car at the end of last week in preparation, and the first car (Ford Focus) broke down yesterday whilst I was waiting for my wife at the hospital (no baby yet!). An amazing day...

everyone is asking me what color is the car, my standard answer is dark gray but I ordered silver and it came back as not available. If I had ordered one week earlier, oh well. My last car was also dark gray .

my wife drove it tonight and loved it, I am shocked.
anyway still reading manuals and setting various items in system.

keeps me off the streets.

you will get it soon enough.

No word at all. The Ford site still says delivery is between 3/27 to 4/2.

Cars seem to come earlier than mentioned on the site, mine was a week earlier and that takes into account getting stuck at trucker depot for a week. hopefully people will get theirs over the next week or so.

This won’t help any of us but just read this

“Ford Motor Co. has a message for the minority of dealers who are adding significant markups to its hottest products: Stop it, or we’re cutting you off.

“We have very good knowledge of who they are,” CEO Jim Farley said in February. “And their future allocation of product will be directly impacted because of that policy.”

Tim Hovik, chairman of the Ford National Dealer Council, said the organization endorses the factory’s hard-line stance when it comes to selling electric vehicles such as the F-150 Lightning.
