I received encouraging news today too:

Hi Mike!
Wanted to reach out to let you know that we very close to rolling out the fix for your vehicle. Starting today, we are testing the fix with a few locally based (Southeast Michigan) Early Access customers. We started with this approach as Ford has a large presence in this area, and needed engineers on site to perform the operation. We are still committed to notifying you once it’s ready for you. Barring any issues that come up in our testing, it should be ready soon.

Maybe our wait is over??!!

I reached out to my contact in the Early Access Program, and they confirmed that fixes are starting to roll out. I asked them about my vehicle and they response is below

“Thanks for reaching out. This is true. We were planning to reach out today to inform you of this. We want to let you know we are close to rolling out the update for your vehicle. As you may have heard, starting today, we are testing the fix with a few locally based (Southeast Michigan) Early Access customers. We started with this approach as Ford has a large presence in this area, and required engineers on site to perform the fix. We are committed to notifying you once it’s ready for your vehicle. Barring any issues that come up in our testing, it should be ready soon. We will keep you updated as soon as that information is made available.”

This is promising - fingers crossed.

If it’s any consolation to folks. The cat who is my avatar picture, is pacing and worrying this morning. She is going to the vet in about 30 minutes. In the Mach-e. I’m sure it’s a sign that things are improving for those of you in this situation.

While it certainly seems like things are moving forward since I also heard back a similar message about them releasing the fix to customer cars in the Detroit area... I'm sorry that this software update has been so stressful to your cat! And here mine are just lounging around like nothing happened.

If true there will be much rejoicing and partying in the streets. Cats will be patted and partners will be kissed.

Hi all,

Brought in my job 1 for the charging update and to have the dealer troubleshoot a couple issues (camera alignment/drive train fault, 1.7 stuck, etc.). Per the technician, Ford advised that the issues we are experiencing are intertwined with a fix scheduled in July. Saw some earlier replies that fixes are starting to roll out in other regions- good luck everyone ?

Off to the vet she went. We played Kuana Torres Kahele Radio. She loves Hawaiian music. She tolerated the almost 1-hour drive relatively well. The mach-e is tolerable for her. The Raptor? She hates that thing.

So I think it's a cinch for 1.7.1 now. or not. ;)

Hell no, we'll all be out testing to see if it actually makes any difference for having it!

It sounds like good things are happening but the question is if this will be over the air or we have to go in. So far it sounds like a lot of cars are going to have to go in and get an appointment and wait who knows how many hours.
