I wonder how the release of the F-150 Lightening will impact support for the Mach-e? Two possibilities I see:
1. Support and development resources will be centered on the shiny new toy and Mach-e will get less attention.
2. Another possibility is that there could be an economy of scale and some things like additional trained support personnel and software improvements for the Lightning will make their way to the Mach-e.
What is Ford’s most profitable product line?
I’ll leave the answer as an exercise to the student.

The technical term is “schedule slip” ?
Yes, and the term for not making the code available to dealers to load is called "Cost Avoidance" :)

Another term the Ford team needs to take seriously is "Lifetime Value of a Customer" which this is negatively impacting.

I would rarely presume to correct you, but I think you meant to say “…to Job 1 cars…” ?
yeah.

I type all this stuff up on an iPhone 12 pro max that is, in my unprofessional opinion, rather off under the best of circumstances, even for an iPhone. Some of its auto corrects are beyond odd*. Add to that that my typing at 6 am is not exactly error-free. Nor is it at 12 pm, 3 pm 7 pm...

Anyway, I updated it. Thanks.

* My favorite autocorrect it has made: I was sending a text to a friend. The text contained "Dalai Lama" in it. I watched it carefully as I can hunt and peck at very high speed and sometimes with accuracy. It was all good. Press send and ... it came out "Falsified Lama." No Joke.

I saw a post that if you enter an 8 after entering your door code the frunk opens
That should be for cars that already have a "remote" frunk release. Door Code followed by the 7-8 button. *shrug*

I'll just keep using the double pull, just like they did back in the days of the Model T frunk! :p

I’m on an iPhone 13 Pro Mac - I always thought that was obvious given the number of “typos” in my posts ?? I totally understand your frustration.
(it’s better than a blackberry ?)

We call that iPhone feature "auto-miscorrect". It works extremely well.

I'm not seeing the word promise in that press release. Please point it out.
Really? " can receive BlueCruise later this year through over-the-air software update. " How else would anyone take that... ?

Turns out "can" meant "couldn't"... nobody did.

I can eat 5 pizzas for dinner. Does that mean I promise to? Nobody is disputing that Ford's intent was to release BlueCruise last year. But they've always been careful to NOT promise it. That's why I think it's important to call it out when people claim otherwise.

I suppose in a legaleze sense you are correct... but as you point out it was implied.

In a legal sense they don't promise OTA any more than they promise that the brakes will work. However, the intent was clearly implied including content and dates... What they implied matters.

I have to admit I am puzzled with the defense of Fords OTA rollout here.
