Moral of the story, don’t DC fast charge unless necessary such as a long trip.
Yes - this is a “welcome to lithium batteries thing” not a Ford thing. In one regard I wish there were more fast chargers around, but charging at home means we only use a fast charger every 2 months or so.

I just found this thread.

It turned out the Ford is both decreasing that battery buffer and improving the fast charging curve. Which goes to show how hard it is to predict which way Ford will zig or zag.
Replace "is" with "will be at some point maybe"

Talk is easy. Let's see them do it.

Yep, but we will see if it happens. I believe those statements came from an interview and not an actual press release or official announcement. Sure hope it happens!

Well, they are shrinking the buffer for the 22s, right? The question is whether they’ll allow the same for the 21s via OTA update, right? (I know, I know, OTA is BAF so we’re talking hypothetically at this point).

Capacity of 2022 models has zero to do with OTA updates to 2021s. BlueCruise is months later than promised AND not provided in a single vehicle via OTA.

Do I believe Ford intends to update the capacity? Yes. Now do it.
