You can set it to stop charging when it reaches that level. But there is no universal limit ... it is set on a location-by-location basis. This sounds like great advice and I'd like to put it into practice myself. The questions I have are, how do I know when I've reached 90%? Can I set the can to automatically stop charging when it reaches that level?
I just discovered this thread and so forgive me if this question has already been asked somewhere in the 11 or so pages of this thread.
In FordPass navigate to:
Vehicle -> Charging -> Charge Settings -> Preferred Charge Times
At the top of this page you'll see two categories: "Saved Locations" and "Previous Locations"
If you charge location is already set as a "Saved Location" then tap on the address. This exposes a panel that shows both the charge times but also the "MAX CHARGE LEVEL"
If your charge location doesn't show up as a "Saved Location" then tap on "Previous Locations", find the address, set a MAX CHARGE LEVEL and then tap "Save" (at which point it will now show up on the 'Saved Locations' list.)
