You are forgiven because of having engineering degrees. I've worked with managers who only had business degrees. They always seemed lost when trying to work with us engineers. They also seemed to not last long.

A friend of mine since high school got an engineering degree like most of our group. Went back for an MBA and started on Wall Street. Ended up running a team. He said he'd only hire people with an engineering degree in addition to an MBA. Said they actually knew what was going on. His group was always the highest performing one, but he wouldn't share his secret to the others, he liked his bonuses.
So that was my big mistake in my career. After getting my MBA, I didn’t pursue a new career in investment banking or finance. I foolishly stayed in technology because it was interesting and fun.

I'm an airline pilot that flies a B737-MAX and drives 90 miles home in a Mach-E

You guys are a BuzzKill. (I'm going to pop a few VHS Tony Robbins tapes in the VCR for some happy thoughts) :p

This message board is fantastic, its like grandpa just got his hot little hands on an AOL CD, fired up for some hot talk...'.you sir have offended my sensibility's, accept my retort on how wrong you are & good night!'
Wait...they responded? How dare they...just wait, I'll put them in their place - they'll have no choice but to....God damn it, they're still arguing!? Respect my authority!

Stay the course, love reading threads with a simple question that have +10 pages of responses, way better than Nextdoor.

I have to say I'm very impressed with Donna. I watched the segment with her on Munro Live and she is a great leader for Ford and Mach-E. If you haven't checked out the video I recommend it.

Yup my Bolt was set to hilltop reserve pretty much 99% of the time I had it--and I live in a flat area LOL.
Yeah, the only time we ever charged to 100% was when we were going on a decent sized road-trip and needed maximum range. I really loved the one-pedal driving in the car.

1-P in the Mach-E is very similar.

How easy is it to set or unset? I loved the easy toggle with the Bolt’s shifter.
Two taps on the screen (tap the Mach-E and then on/off 1-P).

Since it is a touchscreen you have to look at it, however. Can't just shift in/out like the Bolt without looking.

Can you go back and forth with a voice command?

Hitting the button in the middle of the shifter (almost) accomplishes the same goal.

It put it in L mode which does max regen.

But unlike 1 pedal it won’t take you to a complete stop.

One of the reasons to avoid charging above 90% (unless you need the range) has to do with the car's ability to leverage regenerative braking. When the battery is at (or near) 100%, it is harder to push electrons into it.
This sounds like great advice and I'd like to put it into practice myself. The questions I have are, how do I know when I've reached 90%? Can I set the can to automatically stop charging when it reaches that level?

I just discovered this thread and so forgive me if this question has already been asked somewhere in the 11 or so pages of this thread.

Once you've unplugged from a L1 or L2 charge session at a new location, it will show up on the Charge settings screen in the vehicle as a "previous location."

You can save it, which lets you assign a name (like Home or Work) along with your preferred charge stop limit and allowed charging times.

Thanks, that really helps!
