If it is not on your window sticker than they will not be required to do anything.
it won’t be on the window sticker. They updated all the electronic window stickers. I have two digital versions of mine saved, one with the original features and price and one with the features removed and price increased. No idea what it’ll really be until delivered, so there’s no guarantee on price or features it seem until it arrives. Mine should get here in three weeks after a 10 month wait.

FWIW- The kick sensor works about 50% of the time. I'm just using the FOB to open the back. the internal button is three deep in screens.
I love the kick sensor but despise that getting to the open hatch function is so deep in the main screen. I like to pop open the hatch as I get out of the driver’s seat so that it’s open when I walk back there. Normally Ford has a physical button next to the headlight switch but for some reason there’s a windshield heat button there. Why??

I have the kick trunk ooen sensor & it mostly works once I got used to it. However, they should still put the trunk and frunk buttons on the main screen, right along the bottom. Squeeze them in.

This thread makes me laugh… you guys really don’t understand supply and demand. Ford is not even producing MachEs right now and demand is through the roof. I could currently flip my MachE for $5k over sticker price on carvana… actually, more like $10k, but I’m being conservative. You are beyond lucky to get a brand new MachE at sticker price with or without those features.

I have a 2022, and the window is 100% acoustic glass (literally printed on the window) and the ride is very quiet. Quietest car I’ve ever driven. That difference is meaningless. If you want to give up your place in line for a meaningless feature like kick-lift gate you truly do not understand the current economic landscape. You are lucky to take delivery of a MachE this year.

I actually dislike the acoustic windows. Makes it hard for fast pass stickers and radar detectors to work. Love the kick sensor though. Makes zero sense to completely remove it from options.
That’s interesting. I’ve been noticing my ez pass doesn’t work… that explains it. I’m going to try mounting it higher up.

My ez-pass/Virginia didn't work when mounted directly under the rearview mirror/sensor cover of my GT but works fine when mounted to the right of the sensor cover within the 'dots' zone of the windshield. Some 2021 thread(s) mentioned the issue so I moved mine there. The glare or acoustic laminate in the clear part of the windshield seems to blocks the ez-pass signal.

You will need to go with what is on the sticker that comes on the car itself since the digital ones can be updated.

It's not the acoustic glass that blocks the ez-pass signal, it's the IR coating to reduce heat.

Before the software updates, you had to go into the ventilation menu to get your max defrost on. I was always using the button because the MME struggles with heating and defogging the windshield when driving in really cold weather or in a snow storm. Now, I can just click at the bottom of the screen, that setting is always there. I agree with you, they could switch it back to a open hatch button.

Probably because defogging the windshield can be a safety concern and it’s easier to push the button when such things happen when the auto system is off or inoperative. Not being able to open the trunk without pressing 3 tiles is an “annoying concern”. A bit lower on the totem pole.

It is a safety concern and there are regulations about being able to access the defogging or defrosting ability. Which is why Tesla had to do an official recall when screens started going out, because that's the only way to access that function

Makes sense really. Although logic has gotten me into trouble before. :p Even our last of their kind McDonell Douglas airplanes had an easily accessible defogger system.

While I’m thinking of that If I may make a suggestion to Ford Engineering? One airplane I flew had pneumatic rain removal instead of wipers. Don’t do that. ;)
