Had an interesting phone call with the Ford OTA team. They claim that there's no fix available for this problem and dealers can't help.
Well that speaks volumes doesn't it...

Spoke with my Service Manager again and providing an update to the team.

Based on his "research" (putting in quotes because he called some engineering contacts and his general Ford experience), he believes that this is just a band-aid fix, with a permanent fix coming in June. He said "it's like a band-aid on a gunshot wound - seems like Ford is trying to show they are fixing it but do not have a permanent fix yet and do not want to issue a recall. The software update is coming". But it's worked for some people here, right?

Scheduling for Monday to "try". I am providing the cables and a copy of the instructions you great people have written up. I am also going to be "reimbursed".....either way, I want my VIN shown for multiple visits as we work through a buyback.

lol sounds like more BS, the TSB fixes it when it’s done properly

It is 100% not a bandaid but a permanent fix. Full stop. End of statement.

Waiting to see my first OTA since the fix. Thanks again to Ben for doing my updates last Sunday. Hopefully update will be what I need for blue cruise.

Finally they have the new technical bits and trying it on another Mach-E today. They'll let me know how it goes so I can come in next week. Finally hearing some movement! Telling them about the TSB certainly helped.

Side note, there is a Head of Customer Experience, Ford Model E. He's on LinkedIn and you can send him a note with a Premium Account or free trial account.

Maybe he or his organization can make our experiences more positive. My wife sent a note, will let you all know if BlueCruise is enabled and our vehicle magically drives away in the night.

So someone just posted this on Facebook
I put it up about 20 minutes ago on 2 other threads. I think all EA participants received the e-mail.

Well no luck! Dealer has had vehicle since Thursday and keeps getting an error message. Ford has advised to replace APIM module. Couple days for it to come in. Does anyone know if this will resolve the issue?

I wonder if they even tried the right fix or just kept on trying to push updates and failed, like my 4 hours at the dealer
