I just added Elena to my email chain. I never got a response and I'm getting extremely frustrated to be honest.

@JeanneB any update for you?
Just got a phone call from the corporate office giving me the SO unexpected news of nothing.

I feel it's an automated response.

"The car is awaiting shipment and has an ETA delivery of the 12th to the 18th."

I took the opportunity to talk about all of our struggles and it's the same thing over and over.

"Sorry not our department."
"We don't manage that"
"Did you talk to your dealer? Your dealer will definitely help"

She even SAID that this feedback is well known. But what's amazing is she didn't follow up the statement with, "we are working on it", and instead said, "is there anything else I can do for you."

11/10 can guarantee emailing corporate does jack squat.

I had heard that they were going to ship our cars this week, but apparently we lost in the selection process.

Here's a group of Ford engineers discussing how they should prioritize allocation of technology to different trims. Apparently the shipping department uses similar methods.

No reply but I think Brad's daughter is our Ford sales rep so I may see if she can get him to look into it for us.

I wonder what the hold up is. Are they just simply shipping cars coming off the line first or is there some other issue?

Been watching the March threads and they are getting notices of shipping but it seems like most of the cars are idling as well. Its like Ford can't figure out what to do if things don't go as planned.

Cars are definitely leaving Mexico. It's a first off the line, first shipped issue.

I still don't understand how they can be so bad at shipping these things. I would think this is the easiest step in the entire process. I'm more baffled than angry at this point.

I assume 12-18 is May? I got a call too from Ford but did not answer it. She left a voice mail for me to call back.

April which is what my current ETA is set for lol. When I told her it wasn't possible, she said "you never know! Maybe we will expedite it!"

I wanted to say back, "Didn't know you guys borrowed some teleporters from the Enterprise but aight."

My sales person contacted me with the expected news that my ordered car is still in Lecheria. He says there are delays across all lines. I have to wonder about trying to transport cars and goods in a place where the truckers go on strike not for more money - but for their safety and protection from hijackers and cargo robbers. At the point of Lecheria, though, I think it comes down to the efficiency of Kansas South Rail Mexico and Ford's agreement with them. Ultimately, probably just, "Oh that cargo is nearest that train." I just can't believe there is a brain trust running the operation.

Love the grandiose transparency from Ford.

Yup. The dealers don't seem to be in the loop outside the VVRs and it appears that only the Mexico operation knows what is happening there and only the transport part knows what is going on with transport. My biggest hope at this point is that they don't further screw up when each part interacts with the next.
In the meantime, my husband has now seen 6 MME's (among them 2 grabber blues) and I have only seen a black one last year. They are few and far between in my neck of the woods - or are hiding - and I just want to see one, preferably in grabber blue.

My partner and I have seen a bunch. Only one in cyber orange. A lot in red and black.

I have to make a drive to the LA area about once or twice a month (but not again until June, probably). If you're still waiting (fingers crossed you're not), I'd be happy to meet up with you and your husband and let you take a look at our CA Route 1.

Very kind offer.
OC is about 50 miles south and in LA traffic that translates into hours. But if you find yourself more coastal and more southern than LA proper, and if I am still without the grabber blue sighting (though at that point decidedly blue in nature), we might just take you up on that. Thank you.
