OTA 1.7.1 Stuck, anyone else have issue updating?

Yes, this happened to me. My APIM came in on Monday (after ordering on Friday) and had my car back the same day.

Well no luck! Dealer has had vehicle since Thursday and keeps getting an error message. Ford has advised to replace APIM module. Couple days for it to come in. Does anyone know if this will resolve the issue?

Interested in thoughts on mine: I can't get updates, the auto-update won't toggle on, and I have -- for the sync version #. So I figured it was the same 1.7.1 issue most people are having.

However, I never got a message about a failed update anywhere. Today, I downloaded the awesome widget someone made, and mine shows:
- I am on SYNC4 v4.0.20301 and "last update" is null...as though I have never received an update.
- OTA status says "UpdatePendingState: No data
- OTAAlertStatus: No data....
- In going back to find my build date (which was 1/6/21) I found a doc from the dealership that says "VIN not authorized to send vehicle status, VHA, and DTC data. Could this be related to me getting zero updates since the car was built? And will the fix for the 1.7.1 even help me?

Oh, I think we're likely to hit the 100 page mark on this thread. Just got back from my dealer who could not upgrade successfully with the procedure outlined in TSB 22-2117. They spoke with Ford who apparently told them that 22-2117 is to be recalled as it is too prone to failure. I don't know who to believe or what to believe any more, and the complete lack of transparency and ownership on the part of Ford is completely unacceptable. I absolutely love my Mach-E, but this OTA program is a complete cluster.

Having seen that TSB 22-2117 can work and has worked for many, I have a hard time believing it is being pulled.

Still waiting on my dealer to get it right. Thankfully testing it on other vehicles first. Will go looking to see if other dealers have got it right in the area. It doesn't seem complex.

This is very hard to understand. I watched as Ben did my fix (see earlier post) It is pretty straight forward. If i had to guess it is lack of understanding on what they are doing. Ford needs to have actual IT people do updates on the cars at the dealers not a mechanic that has had a week or so training on how to do updates. The mechanics are probably more comfortable changing out a transmission than they are working on the computer systems Mach e.
But maybe I'm wrong and I was lucky because the fix did work on mine...

I had the TSB applied on 3/17 in Michigan by Ford Engineering. Received an email today from the Early Access Program that my VIN should have an update pending and that once it installs, I should have many more come down.

Pulled up the Scriptable app and confirmed that I have "artifacts retrieving". Will report back if I get a successful install.

Mine is the same but I do have a version number for Sync, but the widget shows all the same details.

They need to get brave and create a role for someone. Maybe a certified contractor to Ford dealers? Help when they need to prove they can fit the new model.

If their internet dealers still prefer to chat and phone, then what hope their service guys know what USB is? Does that fit in to the manifold?

I had the same success today on mine and Ford Power Up 2.1.0 was installed. TSB 22-2117 worked for me as well.

Day 2 at the my dealers...how's it going?

Not well, they drained the 12V battery as the didn't have it plugged in. Charged it up and tried again. Service Manager said "their system crashed", not the car. Not sure what that means. He said their software is up-to-date. I wonder if their Internet has enough band width? No mention if they had contacted Ford but I would think they had to.

I now appear to have Sync 4.0.22082, which I’ve never seen on this site before.
