I think he has absconded to some ID4 forum somewhere. I hear they have a whole section dedicated just to the on/off button. ?

so out of curiosity I looked at the ID.4 order page as a possible "gf C-Max replacement" car. But at $40K before options (and honestly you at least need the Statement package), it's suddenly a lot less interesting to me. The least rate is nice, but I'm pretty sure she's done with the "no real equity, forever making payments" game.

The ID4 seems to be heavier than an Audi Etron (2580kg vs 2445kg). That gets slated in every review I have watched for being a bit heavy...... The Skoda enyaq is even heavier than that (2658kg). The MME is lighter at 2218kg. Lastly, the Model Y is 2000Kg.
So I think the ID4 is going to be expensive and heavy compared the others in the pack.

Where have you seen that weight figure? evspecifications.com have it at 2049 KG, which seems reasonable. Also, your comment on being expensive doesn't make sense. It's priced quite competitively.

I am pretty sure that this button is for in case that the cell is down or the person don't have one. VW confirm that the car will be ready to leave as soon as you will be close of it.

Everyone at Ford must be looking at the ID4 and realizing what a disaster they averted by ditching the DustBuster styling and starting over with the Mach E. The ID looks hIDious.
As they say, beauty is well, shall we say, subjective. I actually prefer many of the styling element of the ID.4. But then I prefer a more traditional SUV shape.
