⏱ Mach-E Scheduling Next Week (4/25) For Build Weeks 5/30 Through 6/27 (Cleanup Scheduling)

Interesting thing is that I got my production date and VIN from my dealer (5/30), but I NEVER received an email from Ford. Even to give good news they fail. Or the dealer might have made a mistake, but since the VIN is legit (I successfully added to FordPass), that shouldn't be the case.

The email confirmations always come a few weeks to a month later, it's not new. I got mine three or four weeks ahead of my assigned build week.

Having my wife pick up some nice Port cask-finished Bourbon from a local distillery (Woodinville Whiskey Co). If I get a production date, I'll have a glass to celebrate. If I get passed over again ... two glasses. ?

It stinks for sure. Ironically, if I had made the decision to get another one 4 months ago I would have picked the CR1 AWD and would still be waiting in all likelihood.

Not surprising, I don't think many people are actually placing orders for GT (non PE). There are plenty of dealer stock GT's. Dealer stocks wouldn't be scheduling if there were custom orders.

It's kinda like the five stages of grief. Just fewer stages.

First there is anger. Then comes hate. Followed by the dark side.

I went full dark side this morning.

My best frenemy ordered a GT March 4th from the same dealer. 2+ months after my Premium was ordered. He got scheduled and I'm still waiting.

So emailed my dealer this morning requesting to cancel my order. I'm done with FoMoCo. I ordered a Polestar 2 back in February and it's destined for delivery on June 6th. I've decided that settling for Polestar was better than the inevitable aneurysm that'll be caused by the sudden and frequent spikes in blood pressure that occur everytime an order placed after mine gets scheduled.

I'm definitely disappointed in FoMoCo and they have destroyed almost 23 years of loyalty to their brand. I got a lot of crap from my Uncle's, my Dad, and my Grandfather for buying Ford's (my family are Chevy People and I am the black sheep) over the years. Putting up with their jabs every holiday or family gathering is all about to come to an end on June 6th. At least they have no opinions about Polestar. Lol

If FoMoCo had scheduled me for a June build and August delivery, I would've waited. However, their order fulfillment process is asinine and completely incomprehensible to an outsider. In a day and age where people can instantly communicate and compare notes, it creates the impression of inequitable treatment and in my case, completely annihilated my perception of the Ford Brand. Goodwill is gone.

I'll certainly remembered how little my business was valued the next time I'm in the market for a car. FoMoCo disgusts me.
